Was a good show, but not great. How do you not play Black, Jermey, Yellow Leadbetter, Or elderly woman. And leave before curfew? Sorry but not worth 60.00 for me.
yeah, i thought they sounded great, but definitely a very odd festival setlist. from everything i read, they started 10 minutes early, but no reason to finish early.....that definitely doesn't sound like a "Pearl Jam thing to do." If you hear anything through your connections, let me know. The crowd was absolutely packed, I don't remember Jazz Fest being that crowded ever. At one point, I did a quick spot check, and we had at least 70 people in our little area.Am sitting my ### on the couch right now, so don't feel like typing out the entire meeting Ed story yet.

It was good to meet Sid, Regular Guy,Fuller, and [icon] again. And than you Tiger Fan for putting this together.

Tiger Fan did you make it to Howling Wolf?

yeah, made it to the Wolf. Vedder was there with Nick Cage, Tim Robbins and Michael Stipe. Long story short, shook Vedder's hand and told him "Thanks for all the music, don't ever stop playing." and he replied with "Don't ever stop listening". then my buddy shook his hand and they headed out to go to another show.more details tomorrow, my body is exhausted from standing all day yesterday.

Well they didn't play that night, but they wanted to go see the Meters. One of my buddies books for the Howlin' Wolf and he's the one that told me that they were likely gonna show up that night (wouldn't be surprised if your source and his source were the same people). Turned out that it was just Vedder, and they didn't play; but it was cool nonetheless. I tried looking online to see if they ended up playing anywhere, but didn't find anything.

Cool story, TF. Thanks again for hosting us all. :goodposting: Your flag got several props over in the fanview thread at the PJ boards, btw.

Nice to meet the rest of you guys there too. We finished off the trip the next day with a nice brunch at Dante's. Great weekend.

Well...

I'M ####### PUMPED!

That setlist might have been a bit short...but it looks to have some great flows to it. Here's to Thursday!! ;)

Really enjoyed meeting Tiger Fan, regularguy, Sid and ChrisCooleyFan, along with seeing icon again. Big :banned: to TF for sharing his patch of ground with us at the show. Also thanks for the recommendation of Frenchmen St.

Had a great time all weekend. I can tell I'm getting old - I still feel a little off from all the :banned:

Good times. Thanks again to Tiger Fan for organizing everything, although I'm a bit jealous of the Vedder sighting afterwards. It was great meeting everyone, we'll have to do it again sometime. :lmao:

Listening to the 10/31 final show at the Spectrum

What a powerhouse show

Bringing back awesome memories

Got chills during the Another Brick in the Wall Tag as the crowd sang

Quite a doozy. Had 10th row on the side right next to Mike...never seen a show that close to him (usually on the floor or by Stone) and it was awesome. Loved the 1st set. They were on fire as always...virtually flawless. Lots of fun with my group. That Nationwide discrict there in Cbus is pretty sweet too. Now, not much better than being within 48hrs of a hometown show (with a Cavs game at 3:30 to boot)!

May 7, 2010 Noblesville, Indiana, Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre IndianaSet List: Release, Last Exit, Got Some, Why Go, In My Tree, Small Town, Unthought Known, Even Flow, Supersonic, Down, Daughter/WMA/Blitzkrieg Bop (Ramones), Goin’ Back To Indiana (The Corporation) [partial version], Rats, Wishlist, Insignificance, Force Of Nature (dedicated To Hud Mellencamp), Jeremy, The Fixer1st encore: Just Breathe, Off He Goes, Given To Fly, Lukin, Better Man, Do The Evolution2nd encore: Garden, Whipping, Alive, Baba O’Riley (Townshend), Yellow Ledbetter/Star Spangled Banner
Yet another fine effort. Too easy these days to make these sets look great.Looks like I get squeezed on a few I was looking forward to....In My Tree and Off He Goes....but I guess that leaves Present Tense ;)

Hell yeah hometown show! 5th row in the lower bowl on Stone's side....looking straight ahead was row 6 of the floor. Basically matched my seats in Cbus exactly except switched sides. That main set was sweet. Columbus might have been a tad better but both had some major highlights. I'll have to relisten and see what I think. My state of mind was certainly different between the Cbus and Cle shows (both in good ways).Immortality is one of my favorites. Really glad to hear that.Unthought Known was amazing. Certainly the best I've heard it yet. The crowd was really into it and very good for the entire show.Daughter/WMA....oh yeah!SOH--Johnny--DTE was killer. 1st encore was short song wise but Ed talked alot before Just Breathe. Ed and Stone hadn't said Happy Mothers Day to their Mom's so the entire crowd did, including the Mom's names. And there was some requests going down....not sure if that is exactly where he was talking about it....but they def played Smile per a sign. Porch was sick too...major jam and Mike was shredding (Black and Alive too) as usual. LEASH!2nd encore was a bit long so that also made up for the 4-song 1st encore. Black was really extended. Mike ripped his Alive solo right in front of us on Stone's side! The Real Me was amazing! Love Smile and Indifference (I was mad in Cbus because they brought Jeff's standup next to the stage during the 2nd encore and didn't end up using it). Quite the opposite feeling when you have no shows on the horizon....but boy did they not let me down in Cbus or Cle. :tumbleweed:

Man, yeah - This was a GREAT show. Great setlist, great energy, everything. When they kicked it off with Wash I knew we were in for something special. I've been to about a dozen or so PJ shows, maybe more, and this one may be my favorite. It's definitely up there at least. At one point during either Evenflow or Porch, I forget which one, I thought to myself, "How the heck are these guys rocking this song even HARDER now, in 2010, than they did back in the 90's?!" ...Eddie made a comment at the beginning of the show that he thinks PJ of today would kick older PJ's butt. He's definitely right, Pearl Jam is like fine wine - they get better with age! There's no 'going through the motions with these guys, they bring it every time.Wishing I would've put in more of an effort to see a few more shows on this tour now. :goodposting:

I was telling a buddy who is seeing them tonight for the first time in about 15 years that I think they're the best they have ever been musicallyThey are all just so extremely tight and proficient these days, including Eddie on guitarThey sound awesome

My usual nerded up post...post shows...

Added two songs to the repertoire: Army Reserve and The Real Me. :loco:

Two for two on openers I've never seen: Oceans and Wash. :lmao:

Non-last two album songs that got the bump from just seen once: Alone and Oceans from my first show ever Cle '94....plus Sleight of Hand and Wash, oddly enough from the same (sick) show Pitt '00.

Unfortunately, they soundchecked No Way last night but didn't play it. Good news for Buffalo tonight. Never seen that one.

Full Cleveland soundcheck:

Wash, Undone, Sleight of Hand, Fatal, No Way, Speed of Sound (Cbus too)

VERY interesting set tonight IMO:

They were talking about this show around 5 pm on the WGR AM Sports Radio and mentioned that they were going to be giving away bootlegs of the show free to those in attendance. That's pretty sweet.

Looks good for sure. Definitely would have loved to be there for the Grievance, Not For You, Got Some, Do The Evolution run. Arguably the 4th best out of the last 4 shows as far as set lists go...probably neck and neck with Cleveland...definitely behind Cbus and Nobles imo.

Well this just sucks

Turns out the tix I got for MSG 1 and MSG 2 are counterfeits

Should have known it was too good to be true when they were being sold "for face value" and he wanted them to go to a "real fan"

Anyone know of any MSG extras?
