***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (2 Viewers)

Is there a PJ site (sorta like that phantasytour.com phish site) where you can pick a song and get stats? Like how many times it opened/closed a set, what followed it and preceeded it, average place in set, etc...
www.pearljam.com has a lot of stats - probably not quite as comprehensive as what you're talking about, but you can see how many times a song has been played, when was the first time it was played, most recent, etc.

Yeah, I'm pretty much familiar with that site, TSIS, and Synergy. Somone out there has probably written a sweet program that has more detail though.

I preordered Pearl Jam through 10c and received it in the mail today along with the bonus live CD from New Year's Eve in NYC in '92. If you ordered check your mail!!

Got mine

Live disc is pretty solid... nice bonus. Good setlist

Listened to the album a few times yesterday. I woke up with Life Wasted bouncing around in my head. The last time I remember a new song on an album getting stuck in my head was Hail Hail in 1996. This one has legs. About time.

I still didn't get it from the fan club yet...anyone else?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I got mine yesterday, along with the bonus CD.Fellas, this one kicks ###.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Yes, it does. Every song on the disk is good (if not great)--I was trying to pick out a favorite and couldn't seem to pick one, although Severed Hand and Marker in the Sand are the front runners. July 6 can't get here soon enough...... And the bonus disk is un- :censored: -believable--one of the best versions of Porch I've heard.

:goodposting: I cannot get Life Wasted out of my head. I really like Army Reserve too.

Army Reserve is my fav

I'm with dstroop, I couldn't pick a favorite if I tried, although Army Reserve would not be in the mix (good song though).

What songs do you think would make great openers? They usually pull one or two off a new album.

I'm thinking Wasted Reprise (extended)-->Life Wasted....or maybe Severed Hand (an extended beginning would be sweet too).

I think Come Back and Inside Job will make helluva closers. Best slower PJ songs since Sleight of Hand IMO

What was the last new song they closed with once the catalog grew ('98 or thereabouts to present)? They don't really close with many originals. Maybe they'll end a set with Inside Job, that would be solid. But I still hope you're right.

Off hand, I'm not sure...you're right, they usually close with covers (or Ledbetter) Hope that changes though

So what tracks were on the bonus club disc? I need to do some soulseek work and hunt these down.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
New Years 12/31/1992Speed Wash

Sonic Reducer

Why Go

Even Flow

Alone

Garden

Daughter

Dirty Frank

Oceans

Alive

Leash

Porch

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
How great did Dave Abbrusseze used to be? How did he hit so many cymbols and still pound out the drums? That Porch has to be one of the best evah. Dirty Frank is pretty solid too.

How can a non-TC member like me get a copy? I was a member back in the day, but haven't been for a while. But I've gotta hear this version of Porch, which, along with Garden, are my 2 favorite live PJ songs.

I was thinking the same thing--when he was on, he tore it up.

I still can't get over the fact that he wrote 'Go' on an acoustic guitar.

Im really digging Unemployable right now.

"Marker in the Sand" for me. I was debating about going to see them this summer. After a few listens of the new cd I'm going to try to get tickets for sure. I hope to see them at Summerfest with Tom Petty. I hope they do some songs together.

Am I the only one wishing the Life Wasted Reprise was longer? The normal version is great, but the reprise leaves me wanting more. Hopefully, that'll be the case live.

Yep.Like I said....Wasted Reprise (extended) ---> Life Wasted opener.

The first time I heard the reprise intro I thought it was What Happened Yesterday from Mirrorball until Eddie started singing.
