So... I was thinking when I was listening to Crown of Thorns today... what would we all be talking about if Andrew Wood hadn't taken the long ride down Staley Street?

MLB... part of the Seattle explosion?  Long or short-lived?

Eddie Vedder... nobody?  Singer for Stone Temple Pilots?  Member of Creed tribute band?
Who knows. I don't think it would have shorter-lived really. Nirvana would have still carried the load. People wanted hair-metal bands and everthing else wiped off the planet too badly, so it was bound to last.Vedder, though, I think he was destined for some kind of greatness. You know, in music. I can't believe that his voice would never have been found, for one...coupled with the energy. And I think what some don't realize, is how hard he worked. Man, did he want it badly...and we all know how far that goes.

Oh, and Ichiro would be in San Diego... :D

Okay, I AM gonna have a drink.
I'm currently uploading a zip file to you send it with pre Pearl Jam Eddie Vedder stuff. Most of this stuff is via drum machine. It's actually pretty good.http://members.tripod.com/~partingways/indexbadradio.html

Well I meant Mother Love Bone long or short-lived. I tend to think they would have gotten fairly big but wouldn't have been around for too long. They were pretty damn good, but had a self-destructive, kind of effeminate frontman, and not the best lyrics either.Wood was all glam. Almost the anti-Vedder in every way.
As much as I loved 90's music, there were only about 4 songs on MLB that I liked. Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns is one of my favorite songs of all time though, S.

I nominated that in the "Songs that could be like a Stairway" thread

I liked most of that CD. Haven't listened to it in forever though so it ain't that great. I agree on CD/CoT. "Man of Golden Words" was a good one too.

Sweet. Thanks.I'll try that next time I up something. Used to be you could only use certain FTP clients - pay ones only that connected a certain way. Or command line which I just got used to.

Vegas, baby! :headbang:

You know, that guy was a freaking jerkazz idiot for not having the Daughter from Cleveland.  Thank you JZ for noticing that and making the correct play.  Do you really think that dude knows PJ?  I'm totally shukled by his original Daughter play.

Great job!  This is fantastic!  I hope I can download this somehow, I'm not too saavy about these things.
It'll be up for download tomorrow. I will PM the link to all you peeps who I know will appreciate it. We'll see if we can bring down bigupload. What's sad is I had it up at about 90% this afternoon when I heard one too many screwups and cancelled it. Yeah this guy was a little sloppier than I originally gave him credit for. That Last Kiss was indeed god-awful, and why he broke up the Mamasan Trilogy the way he did is completely beyond me.

Anyhoo, if you're on broadband it shouldn't be too tough for you to get tomorrow. If you're not on broadband, we may have to have a talk.
:pickle:

For one who dislikes PJ and Vedder so much, you sure do check in and post in this thread a lot. Maybe you're a closet fan. It's ok to admit it, you're friends down at the Y won't think you've lost your street cred.

 I was listening to the Chicago II show last night and was wondering the exact same thing. My guess is that MLB would have been pretty solid, but obviously nowhere near PJ, Nirvana, etc.

Not sure about Eddie, but there is a chemistry between Jeff, Mike and Stone that meshed well with Eddie's personality. It would have been tough for him to find that, and probably would have bounced from band to band with some success, but nothing near what he has with PJ.

How can you afford to go to that many concerts? That is unbelievable

bigupload is screwing me over. I'm just going to have to put it on my own webserver. TEMPORARILY. Maybe someone else will have better luck with bigupload, or I will have better luck later. It keeps hanging up on me.

The innernet gods hate me. My FTP timed out to my webserver. It's just too damn big!

I'm going to have to install a cracked winrar and split it up.

Can't you just run a torrent from your site? It will save you some bandwidth.
Well the site is just a managed webserver I pay for.Could I run a torrent from here? I doubt I could put it on Oink since that other choad already did. Maybe thru mininova or something though? Does it have to go through a site?

I don't know that works but if you do I am willing to give it a shot.

After doing some reading, it does seem a bit more complicated that just creating a torrent file. It looks like you need a tracker, but my version of uTorrent says it will create a torrent without a tracker, and if that is the case you would just need to host the torrent file that you created and have a link that people can acess it. There are also public trackers out there that you can google and find to host the torrent.

Yeah I was just messing with it. I have Azereus and it looks like it only works for other Azereus clients.Winrar is a pain too, trying to figure out volumes.

My technical expertise has been tapped out

I'd be willing to host it for a little while as well.. I've got a good amount of bandwidth.

How many MB are we talking here?

Maybe you can split it up into smaller downloads. Rapid Share has unlimited downloads of 100mb files for 30 days.

This is an option. I could give you a guest User/pass for my FTP server. I think Iv'e got enough bandwidth to give it to 10-20 people from FBG. If we wanted to go public with it I don't think my hosting package would hold it though :(

Potentially split it up on rapidshare would be a good option as well.

J - do you have the setlist because I am seeing some duplicate numbers for tracks and some track numbers are missing. Not a big deal, just wondering if you have the same setlist.

Thanks again dude, this is awesome.

As I said earlier... the numbers are only in sequence for each disk, so you're going to want to keep them in those folders or renumber them yourself. Also the ID3 tags are not numbered or named... that's on the other guy. Sorry, I just didn't want to spend so much extra time doing that stuff, because I personally am fine with it as it is.List for Disks 1-6

I downloaded disc 1 in .rar format and I can't open it.  What program do I need to open it?
Rephrase: which version of WinRar should I download from the link you sent in the PM.
probably the top one
Can I save this directly to disc or do I have to save it to computer first then use winrar?
put it on your computer first, then unrar it
About 17mins per disc to download sound right?I am on the second one now.
