looks like an all-timer tonight

Coil opener, Walk Away, Roses are Free in the first set, Mike's>Crosseyed>Hydrogen>Weekapaug followed by Destiny Unbound?!? followed by CARINI?!?!?111 as the meat of the second set? Devastating.

Pictures are knee weakening

Those shows at Telluride didn't look like anything special. Think we are going to get the best of this run now, Deer Creek through Alpine should be awesome.

Night one Deer Creek was definately a rager. This might be the best outdoor venue in the US, I've never done red rocks but Deer Creek lives up to the hype, glad I finally got there. Security was really lax, gotta love that in a big venue.

I thought both sets had their highlights and a couple of duds. I'm not sure I really got into the flow of the second set. I was really psyched for the Melt and it did get dark and dirty but they never completed the cycle on it at the end, it didn't come together. Going into dog faced boy right after was a little weird to me.

I'd say that Twist was probably the highlight of the show for me, along with Wolfman's in the first set.

Looking forward to night 2.

I snapped this pic of Gordon.

They played a lot of songs fur sure. How was the encore? It looks good on paper. Very interested to see what they do tonight after that show.Oh, and the Gorge is the best outdoor venue on the planet--well, at least in the US. Just saying. Glad to hear they were chill, Deer Creek has a rep for being kinda tight. Last year Alpine was crawling with undercovers; which I don't really get because everyone knows the undercovers. Hope they have chilled in WI too!!

Are u doing the Alpine shows??

Glad they got that TTE out of their system :pickle:Sheeit....time to hit the road!
i agree actually, there are a lot of songs i am glad to see, hopefully wont see them at Alpine.giggy's hittin' the road manana!!!!!
:thumbup:Enjoy man!I never got into the Phish obsessiveness stage, mainly because I already had a musical obsession by the time I was 15 (Pearl Jam), but I absolutely love the spirit behind the band and their fansI sometimes wonder if/how my life had been different if I had followed my freshman year girlfriend's cue and dropped out of college in 95 to follow Phish around the country

i saw pearl jam, a.k.a., mother lovebone, right after they brought vedder on in an airline hanger in bozeman, mt. that was the stuff i was into for years, then i went to a dead show and everything changed. my first phish show was like "holy ####", i was hooked. did west coast tours a couple of years in a row, but never did the full on drop out and tour; though we came close. now i am as much into hanging round the heads as i am the show itself. it is just an overall cool gig.oh and to answer your question, you would have become a wookie.

I never did full tours. I would usually catch shows within the Boston/Worcester/Providence/Hartford area which was more than enough to get my fix for many years.

Now that I'm in Atlanta, I either have to wait for them to come south or travel.

Yeah, never been to Gorge either, heard it is great. Aesthetically it would be tough for Deer Creek to compare to either Gorge or Red Rocks but the sound at Deer Creek was great everywhere I went, even went up the lawn to check it out and that was great too.Seriously on the security, it was non existant on a lot of fronts. Besides checking tickets in the pavilion, they didn't do much else. No problems in lot that I saw either. The encore was awesome.I'm going to Alpine, I am picking my friend up in Chicago in the A.M. and then heading up there.

I made it to the Telluride shows. I couldn't get into the show first night, but I was able to hear the show and see some of the stage lights from just across the river. I was able to get a wristband from a local friend that had to work 2nd night.

Pretty cool experience. There were other bands in town playing during the day outdoors and playing aftershow at clubs. Telluride should host Phish shows every summer.

Thought for sure they were closing with Wilson, nice Possum jam to end.

ETA: Wilson was #12, Possum was #13, on Friday, well, you know.
