Official Plaxico Burress Thread (1 Viewer)

Same injury, but he could always come down with a case of "Why play when our 37th-string WR can beat the Dolphins."

I hate to hijack an injury thread, but Raider has a good point. This may be the week to keep Plax in the lineup, but on the bench unless the game becomes too close for comfort. Two weeks of rest and ice on the ankle can really escalate the healing process. If I'm Coughlin, I feed Jacobs the rock over and over again.

Per TSN:

Oct. 21, 2007 - 4:33 p.m.

Burress had just five catches for 43 yards in Sunday's game against the 49ers. Burress had a streak of six straight games with a touchdown catch broken.

Fantasy Source spin: It was Burress' first off game of the season, so we forgive him. He should bounce back against the Dolphins in Week 8. Doesn't everybody?

Nothing like current information on Sunday mornings.

Because this isn't college football. The talent level of a top team over a sucky team is much thinner than people realize.
Also, with Steve Smith out if Burress sits as well the Giants would be very thin at WR. I doubt they would let him simply take a game off, regardless of the quality of the opponent, unless he was too injured to play.

Good point, I expect to see Plax play the way he has all year.
