Walmart is offering a pretty good deal. You put down $40.00 now and then you can pay over the next three months and you will be able to pick up your PS4 in December guaranteed.

Was thinking about it but once they announced no dlna support, I put that thought aside until they fix that screw up.

Yep. I could wait until spring when some of the games I'm more interested in start coming out, but if I'm going to buy a PS4 anyway, I might as well go ahead and buy at launch. Prices won't be coming down for a while.

yeah my son has paid for his own(saved allowance, birthday, and Christmas money from last year) and I will be taking him to the midnight release as a reward for getting all of his school work goals for the marking period completed prior to the PS4 launch.

Picked up my PS4 tonight. I like the controller. Much better than the last one. I played some Killzone. It looks good. Couldn't play online as PSN is down.

I've posted a bunch of times about how the motion control gimmick makes things worse for everybody. That light on the DS4 is yet another example. Motion control is why it's there.

I downloaded Resogun and it's fun. I don't know how often I'll play it but it was free.
Killzone looks good. I've played about an hour of MP. I die a lot.
I'm going to throw in Knack this afternoon and play with my son. It got terrible reviews but it's the only kid friendly game I could get. I also have Battlefield and NBA 2K14 that I'll play sometime this weekend.
I had no issues with the system. PSN was down for a while last night but it's been fine since.

$399 is correct. Maybe they were referring to a bundle that included a game and extra controller, or something like that.

According to UPS, my PS4 is sitting right outside my front door.

Not even five minutes for me. Maybe 10 if you're counting the shut-downs and re-starts that go along with the update.
I am having trouble getting into PSN though. Not surprising given that it's launch day, but a little frustrating since I know other people are in and playing right now, and I want to get some stuff downloaded from the store.

I'm in this boat too. I have a backlog of games from getting freebies with Playstation Plus, and honestly, the PS3 does more than the PS4 at the moment (I use it to stream stuff from my computer, and occasionally play CDs). The only thing that really makes me want to get one is to play Battlefield 4. I will wait to see what updates come along, as well as seeing what games come along that are must have (Uncharted 4 may be the one). I also want to wait to see if I truly want a PS4 over the XBONE. I am really impressed with some of the whizbang features the XBONE has, even if it may not be as powerful. I'm surprised I am saying that, since I have always been on team Playstation.
