LHUCKS

Footballguy
I go out to the bars tonight, get home, check out some of the threads in the sharkpool and now Norwood is the next great RB in the NFL even though he looks like Jerry Rice pretending to be a RB and Dayne should be cut in all fantasy leagues. :lmao:

I will be posting the most ridiculous quotes here for everybody's entertainment.

Quote #1:

"based on his(Dayne's) results against the 3rd string Det D is it time to send him to the waiver wire..."

:lmao:

"great series by van pelt .. should be a good sleeper pick"

:lmao: , are you f'ing kidding me...now Van Pelt is a sleeper. :lmao:

"Norwood just scored - he is special in open space and has nice low center when he runs. Bound to take some reps from Dunn. Looking more like RBBC in Hotlanta"

:lmao:

This is actually the title of a thread:

"Vernon Davis..no catches, time to panic?"

:lmao: , yes by all means, you should cut him and pick up Anthony Becht. :lmao:

People don't overreact.

Oh, but Musa Smith is going to get 2,000 yards this year. I've calculated that he only needs about 130 carries to do it too.

Of course folks over-react. Its inevitable and the magnitude will only increase as the popularity of fantasy football continues to grow. You have to take the good with the bad. The essence of this free message board is that all can join in. Some of the newcomers need a little guidance. I for one applaud their excitement and hope that in general they can be encouraged to share that enthusiasm and that their posts can eventually be a helpful contribution.

I find it amusing that you rip on people for overreacting (which is warranted) but laugh at anyone that writes off Ron Dayne. It's going to be interesting to see what your reactions will be after Week 3 when Dayne runs out of gas putting his helmet on.

Writing off Ron Dayne to the point where he should be released from your roster(which is what the quote states) is laughable...I'm sorry if you don't get that.

Anyone who bothered to draft him early (or worse, keep him in a league where you only get to hold onto a handful of keepers) deserves what's coming to them. If they're already worrying about cutting him after one preseason game, they're doubly foolish.

I agree with all of this.

:banned: :goodposting: Sorry if I seemed confrontational. I originally thought you were a huge supporter of Dayne. With the resume you have in your sig, it seemed kind of baffling.

"Kitna is the starting QB for Detroit he is 2 of 3 so far and has been looking good so far "

:lmao:
Not sure how that's "overreacting".
Stating someone looks good after three pass plays is overreacting IMHO...but I agree this is the least egregious of the lot. Somebody can certainly look good in an opening drive I suppose.I was kind of on a tirade last night after reading some of the ridiculous things being said...this board is better than that.

There was a time when Dayne was value...that time has long been gone in most drafts. I've been cautioning people once his ADP started climbing into round 4 range that the risk wasn't worth the reward at that point.

This overreacting is nothing compared to Week 1 of the regular season:"Larry Johnson carried 7 times for 8 yards. What a bust! He's certainly no Priest!"

"Manning threw a pick? On the first play? No wonder he's such a joke!"

"Arrrrrghhhhh! Tab Perry just scored a 50 yard touchdown and Chad Johnson is catchless! Should I drop CJ for TP?"

"Thomas Jones - 75 yards and 2 TDs! Chicago's so stupid for drafting Benson! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Did you see that? Daunte just scrambled for 3 yards! And he got up! He's back baby, and ready to dominate!"

"What a day Schmendrick Johannsen had! 143 yards and a long touchdown! I can't wait to get him off waivers on Tuesday morning. He looks every bit as good as Frisman Jackson did last season!"

So far that one at least has some merit. They may not be stupid for drafting Benson but he really hasn't shown that he's worth much at this point.

here is another one for submission

3 carries, 3 yards. Not exactly a great performance for somebody who is getting more hype than the 2nd coming of Jesus. To me Addai looks slow, and quite frankly not very mobile for a RB of his size, seems to be a JJ Arrington clone minus the speed.

Not knocking T. Jones, but see Travis Henry-Willis McGahee circa 2003.

This isn't a board where we ridicule posts. Agreed, you have to take vanilla defenses and preseason in context.

But if you disagree, tell the guy why you disagree.

TIA.
