There was a really interesting interview with Gary Kasparov by Paul Gigot on Fox today. One of his points is that Putin's goal is to get Trump in a sort of new Yalta Conference with a new Big Three, this time involving China instead of the U.K.

Isn't the heart of putin play on trump to manage ruble/yuan/dollar?  Something Russia lost controls on as the USSR collapsed. 

Plaza was a yen/dollar/pound(ish) thing. 

Yalta was just a territory play.  From the beginning ive been trumpeting trumps putin connection as wanting to pull a plaza2.0 he could stand to gain a ton if it ran right.

I haven't heard of the term but yes I agree, I could see how a maneuver on the world currency balance might be something he would be after.

Something like the Plaza Accord where the US agrees to depreciate its currency significantly would probably benefit all the countries, but very hard to see Trump agreeing to that given the pro-American/raising rates rhetoric

 
I wasn't really a Trump supporter although I did vote for him in the end, but I'm happy with him so far.

But to answer your question, I think many of these cities would shut down their governments completely before they would cooperate with rounding people up.

I think we've reached the stage where the big open questions are:

Who knew what, and when did they know it? 

Did the Trump campaign have direct/indirect contact with Russia about the hacks?

Agreed...would have to be a pretty strong correlation to change things and would definitely set us up for a complete crapstorm of a mess.

Could you imagine...a president elect shown to have worked with a foreign government to hack data to influence an election?  

And because they uncovered shady stuff on Hillary...Im betting some of his supporters still would throw a fit if it caused a "new" election or whatever would happen.

 
Earlier this week, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Intelligence Committee and a Trump supporter, wrote to spy chiefs to demand briefings on the Russian meddling.

But Clapper responded that he wanted to first complete a review of all available U.S. intelligence, as directed by Obama.

Brennan tried to talk to Nunes several times about the dispute. But officials said the congressman didn’t take his calls until after he issued a statement Wednesday asking intelligence leaders to “clarify press reports that the CIA has a new assessment that it has not shared with us.”

Officials disputed the statement, saying Nunes had been fully briefed on the intelligence.

“In recent days, I have had several conversations with members of Congress, providing an update on the status of the review as well as the considerations that need to be taken into account as we proceed,” Brennan wrote in his message to CIA staffers. “Many — but unfortunately not all — members understand and appreciate the importance and the gravity of the issue, and they are very supportive of the process that is underway.”

Right, that would be treason so it's kind of a big deal. Probably something we should look into.

It's time to take back our country. For more than 40 years we have let the leftwing of this country control the narrative. It has ripped our families apart, been a direct affront to our religious beliefs and have destroyed our children's growth and development all in the name of an agenda and ideology that itime and again has proved to be an abysmal failure.

I suggest we take the war to them. We now own congress, the senate, the whitehouse and soon the Supreme Court. We own the majority of governorships as well as local senate and assembly seats. How do we do this.

Reagan's strategy was to bankrupt the Soviets, force them into a spending war they could not sustain. It worked, because that's how you beat the left. When you force them to spend their own money all of a sudden they no longer want to play. I suggest we do the same.

Star with Media Matters, the Center for American Progress and every left wing media group. File lawsuits using friendly judges. If you remember what they did to Sarah Palin in Alaska, same premise. Go after SEIU, and union leaders. Bankrupt them holding them to the same standards they held us to. File class actions against the NY Slimes and other papers for killing trees and destroying the environment. Say science on global warming is settled and end funding for all scientists who signed onto the hoax.

The left declared war on us and it is time we fight fire with fire. We have the opportunity to finally rid ourselves of this scourge and Alinsky and Reagan taught us how to do it.

Ar we up for this?

Can we all just keep in mind that Hillary did NOT get out the vote and yet still got nearly 3 million more votes than cheeto jesus?

Yeah I don't understand why it matters at all, the campaigns weren't run to get the popular vote.  Trump spent virtually no time in CA or NY (Campaigning)

Besides, almost all of those votes came from California.

Please. There's no mandate here. I'm in SC, blood red state that Trump got a whopping 55%.

They already do.

There seems to be a real misconception here about this. Sanctuary cities DO help ICE deport undocumented people who are convicted of serious crimes. (Personally, I think they should be punished with prison sentences and then deported.) Sanctuary cities refuse to identify undocumented who have not committed such crimes.
