Yeah, I haven't given his work much of a chance but that verse is bananas. I find he always brings quality lyrics but I often get bored.J. Cole kills his verse. More respect for him each passing day.

Love almost all of the beats on the album. Don't love his love his flow though.PinkydaPimp said:The new 2 chainz album is pretty solid. He has 9th wonder beats and feature like kendrick, e 40, marsha ambroshios). Give it a listen y’all. Also smiff n Wesson have a new album. I haven’t heard it yet but I’m hearing it isn’t bad.
A few years ago was in asbury park with wife and daughter and thought it would be interesting to go to a show at the stone pony. Deltron was there so I told them that we had to go. My daughter was pretty interested in watching kid koala scratching as the opener. Less enthused about the full act, but hung in for a while. Then my wife took my daughter to the bathroom and some lady had passed out and cracked her head open. So then we had to go...Sunday night sobriety edition:
Yo it's 3030/I want y'all to meet Deltron Zero/And Automator...
I'm loving spinning this today. Del the Funkee Homosapien (The Hieroglyph Master) and Dan The Automator and Kid Koala. This should have blown up like Gorillaz did. It was around the same time and Albarn was involved.
Vinyl Me, Please's hip hop release/reissue this month is Handsome Boy Modeling School's So...How's Your Girl? Automator turns trip hop into golden beats pretty consistently.
This was a great album. I think it did blow up in the underground but yea would have been cool if it got gorillaz treatment. This and both sides of the brain... del was killin it at this time and no one knew.Sunday night sobriety edition:

That's cool. One thing about not having kids is that I don't get to bond with them over stuff that we might be both interested in.A few years ago was in asbury park with wife and daughter and thought it would be interesting to go to a show at the stone pony. I tried and can't. Softer than wet cake. And then I read this and thought it made sense. Never could get into that music scene:Thanks. Will check it out.
Oh.I tried and can't. Softer than wet cake. And then I read this and thought it made sense. Never could get into that music scene:
NF is signed to a Christian record label, and his music is popular among the Christian music scene
Love me some Clipse primarily b/c of the Neptunes but they're ill regardless.Clipse was always one of my favorite, and I thought, underrated rap/hip hop acts of the aughts.
Malice talks about what led him to leave. I never knew this. *Born again warning*
Can you imagine?
That song was sweet. Didn't the Neptunes work with N.O.R.E./Noreaga, too?Major said:Love me some Clipse primarily b/c of the Neptunes but they're ill regardless.
Was listening to an older album by Slim Thug that many forget was mainly produced by the Neptunes. Some bangers on there if you like that early 2000 Clipse sound. Love Pharrell's verse on this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqlxg8yqTR4
I dunno. It doesn't sound like Christian music to me at all. Yeah he doesn't curse. Im not a religious person at all and I dig it.Major said:I tried and can't. Softer than wet cake. And then I read this and thought it made sense. Never could get into that music scene:

The tracks I heard just aren't my cup of tea. Sounds like a heavy Eminem influence mixed with Linkin Park and Ariana Grande blessed by the Pope. I'll pass.I dunno. It doesn't sound like Christian music to me at all. Yeah he doesn't curse. Im not a religious person at all and I dig it.
To me just sounds like an Eminem clone during his later years (never could stand the whiny/bitter flow). I stopped listening to Em after his second or third album b/c of this. If we're going to get emotional, I need a bit soul in my music:
Never heard of this guy. He sounds a lot like em(i hate comparing people but his flow is the same). Not sure how i feel about that. I’ll give one of his projects a spin. What should i check out?@rockaction
Here are some of NF's softer than wet cake Christian rap songs :eyeroll:
Real
Therapy Session
Intro
Warm Up
WHY
Wake Up (ok the chorus for this one is a bit soft but the verses arent)
FYI- I have no idea why this guy has videos for every song
Thanks, shady. Listened to Real and Therapy Session and Intro. I'm not sure what to say because it has the modern trap sort of "woot!" lyrical patterns that have sort of passed me by. I don't hear too much Eminem; his flow just sounds more like just sort a typical modern rapper (Which is partially because Eminem and trap changed the game...). But it doesn't strike me as overtly Christian. Then again, it doesn't strike me as uniquely provocative or fresh, though.@rockaction

Surprised you never heard of him as his song Let You Down that put him on the map 2 years ago went 3x platinum. He has 3 albums. Im not really sure good vs bad. I just shuffle his songs on Spotify and pretty much like them all.Never heard of this guy. He sounds a lot like em(i hate comparing people but his flow is the same). Not sure how i feel about that. The world of rap moves fast
People spent the twentieth century obsessed with the future. We created technologies that would help connect us faster, gather news, map the planet, and compile knowledge. We strove for an instantaneous network where time and space could be compressed. Well, the future’s arrived. We live in a continuous now enabled by Twitter, email, and a so-called real-time technological shift. Yet this “now” is an elusive goal that we can never quite reach. And the dissonance between our digital selves and our analog bodies has thrown us into a new state of anxiety: present shock.
This is still an underrated project. I hope Em drops more stuff like this.
Same. Dude really grew on me over the years. And I'll never forget that slap heard around the world.Yea this was really sad to hear. He has come along way. I liked Nipsey. RIP.
Absolutely insane. What a terrible shame.Awful ####. How dead in the heart to you have to be to shoot someone like that in front of his own kid and family.
you had me at featuring Yugen BlakrokI mentioned my fear of non-Czarface new rap before, but I stumbled upon Epic Beard Men a few weeks back, and after a bit of a deep dive over the weekend I am pretty excited about their album coming out on Friday. Everyone else thinks they are great, right?
