Mammoth countdown 7 days! They’re getting snow over Xmas and it looks like snow may be in our forecast as well!
How’d it go?
I’m back in Japan. Yesterday was surprisingly sunny, but a foot of fresh snow today. Rusutsu trees never disappoint!
It was awesome. Snowed a few inches as we arrived and was bluebird the rest of the time.
Good for you, but a couple inches is all? Ouch, and "bluebird" means no snow. Make no mistake, it's dry up there, and has been. I wish it wasn't, but the forecast is bleak as well.
You’re a real joy. The conditions were fantastic. I’ve been up there twice this year. They got 5 feet of snow in November. Another 3 feet in December. We went up on the 29th and were greeted with perfect conditions. I skied char 22 early in the morning on the 30th and had nearly untouched powder for 2 hours, that was 6-10 inches deep due to wind buff. And blue bird doesn’t mean no snow.

it means that the sun is out and weather conditions are perfect. But hey, you do you.
A real joy? Exaggerate much?
5 inches this month, according to the Mammoth site (and more than confirmed from locals). DISPUTE THAT, please, would love to hear it.
You know what? Let's start there. Are you disputing that?
And did you just say, "you do you"? LOFL Is this the 90's?
Factually make an argument about the conditions he asked about THIS month in MAMMOTH, not NOVEMBER. HINT: that snow is not holding up in mid January in Cali, genius.
I've been up there, any local will agree, it sucks right now. Go, look at the webcams, Dr. Fischback. Or, go get yourself some local turns at, Snow Summit, Ingmar Stenmark.
