This is the one show I have to watch off of the DVR as good as it is.

The commercials are brutal and there are way too many slow scenes where the dudes are just sitting there thinking about something or reflecting and some acoustic cover of a classic rock song is playing. I have to zip right through that or I'll go crazy

:lmao: Exactly.Last night the wife and I are watching and our 17 is half interested. There was some song playing throughout the opening montage. After about 4 minutes my kid says "How long is this freaking song?"

Yup - they do it practically every other episode. I'm fine with clips of songs, but they play the entire song during some reflection POV. It does drag at times. Still very entertaining. I still think the best 10 minutes of TV that I can remember was the Season 2 finale while the acoustic version of "Gimme Shelter" was playing, but at least there was a ton of stuff going on during it.Oh well, take the good with the bad I guess.

It's a kick ### show. The wife, who is a shrink, asked me during the show, "What is American's infatuation with bad boys?" My response, "American's?" Her, " "

Predictions, but maybe they'd be spoilers, so I'll proceed as such:

-Jax is held into the club and can't get out, will end up having to kill Clay and reform the club in accordance with his father's vision. Gemma will be outcast. My guess is that there will be some sort of hint at future strife/tension between Jax's two sons. But I think his attempts to get out this year will prove unsuccessful. Obviously, I guess.

I don't think spoilers are needed for predictions.I'm with you about Jax. He says he wants out. Won't be supported by his old lady. But admits he has no other skills. Looks like the logical ending is for him to run a "reformed" MC.

They said he wants at least 5 seasons and maybe 6. They need more material to make it last that long though. Could be interesting.

I predict something...as usual...will come up that will prevent Jax's plans of leaving or changing the club.

I'm actually pretty shocked that it took 3 full seasons before Danny Trejo made an appearance on this show.
Busy with that Oscar award winning Machete project I suspect.Perfect for the character, didn't really care the his appearance at the end.
Seemed like he was the knight in shining armor riding in on the white horse, too much smiling from him is not a good thing. I get he's protecting his supply but would that really happen with a phone call from one old lady to another?

I don't think that is what happened. Not sure if I should spoiler talk about the episode, but I will.
He said he showed up so quick because of their contacts in the russian mob, not because of the call from Gemma. They needed him to show up and be the knight in shining armor to further the rift between Clay and Tig/Bobby since it is obvious Clay already made the deal without the vote of the club. It also sets up the rest of the season with Samcro being in waaaaay over their head with the cartel.

So what happened to Jax in prison that required prompt retribution after they got out?
the Ruskies tried to stab him to death... note the new scars on his chest.
Thanks. I hadn't quite caught that piece of the puzzle. I'm waiting for the new sherriff to finally get his comeuppance. And I loved the look on the Mexican cartel guys' faces when the Russian guy was firing his pistola at their feet. Guys just stood there and looked at him like, "what are you wasting all that ammo for?"

A nice little gaffe in last night's show. On the accident report that Gemma is reading it says that JT was 35 years old in 1993. That means he fought in Vietnam when he was about 9 years old. :lmao:

I think this show needs to eschew these little mini-fixes that our heroes get themselves into. Was there ever any doubt as to how last night's episode's situation would resolve itself? No tension, really.

Did anyone notice that Jax jumped into the back of the truck when they were taking off, and then a second later it's Opie in the back of the truck?
 Jax got in the drivers set, Opie was always in the bed of the truck.

My linkNot sure which is his DOB, but I am guessing it is the 1/25/50 date.

But it still says "35" where it says age. There is also a 1940 date listed on there as well.Even if he was born in 1950 it doesn't jibe with what they've said before or the show. According to wiki "John Teller and Piermont "Piney" Winston co-founded SAMCRO in 1967 following their return from the Vietnam War, where both men served in the paratroops." Of course 17 year olds can serve but to pull a full tour and come back and still be 17 or 18?

Looked at a better streaming version. You are correct it shows his age as 35, but his DOB is the 5/5/1940 one. The guy who hit him was born 1/25/1950. At least they have the correct numbers, maybe Unser has a case of dyslexia??We have now gone over this for too much, this isn't Lost we are watching.

IT'S REAL TO ME DAMMMIT

Finally got around to watching the first few episodes. I'd have gotten around to it sooner if I knew Maggie Siff was in it. Pretty good show so far.

Just got to the "knife or fire?" scene....

I just watched all three seasons the past couple of days. First impression is that Jacks is a #####. Glad to see that the writers have taken the series more dark. Also, seems like half the cast left Deadwood and walked over to SOA. That prono star that Jacks bangs in season 3 who showed her back side to open up one of the episodes was smokin' hot.

Halfway through season 3 myself. Love seeing Trixie as an Irish ol' lady. This show's really skyrocketing up my all-time list.
