I actually don't mind that they killed him. Its the most absolute way to purge a stupid storyline from the show. Stinks to lose a good character, but its a MUCH better solution then them somehow trying to back track out of the stupid story.
This where I'm at, I'm good with the ending, didn't really expect it but it puts a nice bow on a plot line that was going nowhere.Maybe

I think Juice is still alive...and I think Jax will be the one who drives the votes to keep Clay in power. That showdown is coming, but it's not here yet. Jax is in deep with Clay at the moment and he's not going to back away this quickly.

But did they?
No

Could anyone tell what he put on the ground below him?
Looked like the sewing kit he used to put on his Men of Mayhem* patch. *I'm guessing that is the SAMCRO equivalent to the Hell's Angels "Filthy Few" patch signifying the wearer has killed someone in the name of the club.
Is that what is said, I missed it. I hope he's not alive. I think he thought hey I can clear the club of everything and wasn't really too concerned over the black dad. But then I think he becames more worried about it, I really hope he is dead.

Why does Jax walk like he has been a prison punk? Every time he is in a scene where they show him walking he has his arms down to his side like an ape, and walks like he has been traded for a couple packs of smokes.

For those of you with Directv.... starting Nov 1st, Directv is dropping FX (among other Fox network channels) because they have not got a deal done. I would suggest sending an angry email or making a phone call to them to voice your displeasure as I have.

DISH went through this with Fox a few months ago. Got a lot of flack for it. It's really not DirecTV, it's FOX trying to gouge their distributors during contract negotiations. But it'll get done. It did with DISH but there was an outage period. A few weeks IIRC. I wasn't happy but at the same time if the carriers don't push back these networks will drive the cost of television through the roof even more than it already is.DBStalk has threads about it if you're interested.

I forget the names, but I assume the cartel that's battling the cartel that SOA's work with. Same dudes that've been killing Mayans.
it is. and i know i will have a little bit of a problem if the club believes that the cartel would go after Piney like that, it wouldn't make much sense at all. of course they could make it work here because of the stress on the club right now, etc., but the club knows the beef between Clay and Piney.Ok, just saw the preview for next week, it looks like they are inferring that Jax thinks it was Clay which is good. you have to think Opie will have quite a beef here with his wife and dad dying at Clay's hands

ugh, not good to hear that. I am sure DirecTV can dig their heels in as well, so this could be ugly. not happy DirecTV pulled a fast one on me and locked me in to a 2-year deal with them when i had to get a replacement receiver :hot:

Yeah, this sucks. Looks like I'll be hitting up buddys' DVRs and BT.

I wonder when the last contract was signed. I don't know that answer or what sort of increase News Corp. is looking for, but if any network could warrant asking for a significant increase, it's FX.

Obviously, they had great shows beginning in the '02-'04 range (Shield, Rescue Me), but FX has caught almighty hell-fire over the last few years. They currently have 8 shows going. All are more or less phenomenal and only one (It's Always Sunny...) began before '08. That's not counting the great one that just finished (Rescue Me) and the one that recently had to leave because the ratings didn't reflect it's excellence (Damages).

I don't know what's going on with the negotiations or what the long-term ramifications could be, but it would make sense that the folks that own FX are looking for a big increase.

Directv has a channel right next to the affected channels and say that Fox is demanding a 40% increase. FX is putting out some dang good shows.

Why does this crap have to happen during the season of Sons of Anarchy and football?! I would easily just cancel and move to Comcast or Dish for a short spell until things ironed out and moved back... now, I don't know what I am going to do. Argh.

DTV is dropping FX on Nov 1st, WTF :hot:

where can I watch the rest of this season on line

Piney was a great concept for a character, but for a "First 9" guy, he sure didn't seem to have any influence or respect. Killing him off was almost a mercy killing, his character was done (not that it ever got started).

I think that that is tied into two main things: 1) Not being able to really ride anymore. 2) Being a total wreck of an alcoholic.ETA: in that order.

True, but by comparison, Gemma's opinions hold more weight with the club than Piney's.Edit: Typo

Because of a few of reasons: 1) She is the matriarch, the mother figure. 2) Being the old lady of the first and original leader and the old lady of the current leader. 3) Everyone loves her. 4) She kicks ###.

Really the only thing that needed to be said here. :thumbup:Anyway, I'm glad Piney is gone. He was going nowhere fast. Now, with Juice on proverbial life support, I hope he's next. But, looks like he's hanging around (at least for now).

I have no idea how anybody could like the show, but hate Piney.

I thought he was very important. Maybe it was time to go, but not because he wasn't a great and important character.

I wonder if Piney's contingencies were made with his son? It seemed as if they made up and were communicating when Opie said that he was with his father on the whole leadership vote. I foresee Opie having a much larger role now that his wife and father have been murdered.

I am waiting for Opie to just go ape####, and I will love it.

No way Opie does not kill Clay if it is ever exposed how Piney died. The guy has killed his wife (while trying to kill him) and now had killed his father.

Wondering if Opie will think Jax had something to do with the murder, since as far as Opie knew, Jax was the last person to see Piney. We had Dish last year in the middle of the season when FX was taken off for a few weeks. Now we have Directv, and this crap is happening again? At least I didn't really mind last year, it was a weak season, but this year has been my favorite season of the series thus far. The wife is really pissed.
