Is next week the end of the series? The way Sons are getting killed, I'm holding out for the St. Valentine's Day massacre, which was foreshadowed in last night's episode.
I think it's two more seasons before that happens.
Does anybody think Clay will get back in the club? I doubt it, but you never know in this series
Nah. The idea of him branching out on his own gives the club a natural enemy for next season...and Sutter more storyline material. I like the possibility of Clay on his own with a new, bloodthirsty crew.
Isn't that basically what the Nomads were?
Nomads still were "technically" SOA. Clay wants to start a whole new beast. I kind of miss the rival biker gang storylines of the first couple seasons.
True on the nomads, I think. I took what Clay was planning to mean that he wasn't interested in forming a new MC. He mentioned working as an "independent," (which I suppose could mean sort of an MC without any greater affiliation, or not as an MC at all) and told Tig something about "no more politics..." I thought he was saying he's going to put together a crew to pick up the Irish gun trade, but was going to do it without all of the voting and political stuff attendant to an MC. Not to mention that with whatever is going on with his hands his days of riding are limited.

Splitting Clay off to run his own crew lets he and Jax stay at odds through the rest of the series without it having to be front and center. Jax can tangle with the US Marshall and Pope some more next season and then Season 7 can be the final wrap up of his thing with Clay. I imagine much of season 6 will have Clay in Ireland and out of the picture.

As a note, it is a bit amazing how Clay went from not being able to put on his own shoes to suddenly be back to his old self.

Does Clay even bother with the motorcycles and patches and such with his new crew? I mean, that's all really secondary now, right?
Probably not the bikes since his hands are so bad. He will probably get Juice from the MC to be his ##### driver
To anyone with common sense, this shouldn't be a spoiler, but...
...it seems obvious to me that something's going to go wrong when Jax tries to turn Tigg into Pope, forcing Tigg to align with Clay on this new business venture. Juice will side with Clay because, like, he loves him man. So Clay, Tigg, and Juice on one side and Jax, Elvis, Chibbs, Happy, and Augustus Gloop on the other.

And I thought that this was the weakest show of the season. I was never engaged to the level I usually am.
:goodposting: This show is getting so over the top it's about to come full circle and collapse on itself.

LET'S SEE HOW MANY IRONS WE CAN FIT IN THE FIRE!!!!

Yup. That's what I was trying to say above. Move guns. Make money. Forget about all the rest.On another note, it looks like Logue's character might stick around for a while. This Toric dude is one of the more interesting characters, to me, that they've introduced.

Logue on Toric

Anyone else having technical issues with this show? A few weeks ago it was the video, now last night the sound was all screwed up. It was just for the show. Commercials were fine, other stations were fine.
No but my picture feels like it's stuttering sometimes on that show...
I get that stuttering at times too.But last night, as I said, the sound was really wonky. It sounded like each time anyone talked, there was like major bass or something. Trying to understand some of the guys is hard enough, but last night it was near impossible. The sounds actually shook the tv and tv stand at times.
I torrented it and the audio was off sync most of the episode.Surely neither Tig nor Clay (or both) will not make it out of the next episode alive.

I got the same one. :lmao:Surely they will. I'll bet you a week of a dopey Sons of Anarchy avatar that they both survive this episode.

It's exhausting. One of the things I like so much about Breaking Bad (and Boardwalk Empire), is that there are some low-tension episodes where things are fairly calm, before they build it back up.

What I'm trying to say is that we need some Phil storylines next year.

A Phil spinoff perhaps.

:lmao:
Augustus Gloop. :lmao:

I loved the hard look on his face when they voted Clay out.

:lmao: at the Phil shtick going on in here. At this point I continue to watch this dog turd of a show just so I can keep up with the comedy gold in this thread.

Pope's an interesting character, but I suppose there isn't much of a chance he survives this episode. Gotta beat the miniboss before you can complete the level.

I heard Kurt Sutter has a 6-season spinoff in the works with Phil as the leader of SAMCRO's El Paso chapter.
"Phil struggles to keep the heat off of SAMELPA as the Feds ramp up their investigation of the gordita smuggling operation. Tensions rise between Stinky Pete and Ponch over the naming rights to their go-kart track. The passion heats up between Froot Loop and Scabby Amanda. Co-starring: Tim McCarver, Adam Rich, the guy who played Turtle on 'Entourage', Christy Canyon, Alfonso Ribeiro, Clarence the Wonder Gerbil, the guy that is still alive from Milli Vanilli, and Lisa Loeb."

Rumor is that it's going to be set in Fairfield, Texas and the chapter will be called SAMFAT

Tonight's episode: Jax struggles to get his affairs in order. Yet conflict within the club and from the outside make this a very difficult task.

Special guest stars: Esai Morales, Fred Savage, Elizabeth Berkeley, some dude who hasn't worked since 'Rescue Me', another dude from 'Oz' or maybe it was "The Shield"...we're not really sure, and Steve Earle as Waylon.
Not kidding: This week's summary (on Comcast) is "Jax envisions a new direction for the club."
"Jax makes his move to save the club but unexpected events derail his plans leading to tension and violence. Special guest stars: Lou Diamond Phillips, Samoa Joe, one of the blonde DAs from 'Law and Order', Darnell Autry, Tom Wopat, Carla Gugino's cleavage, one of the Chinamen from 'Deadwood', Kurt Sutter's niece's step-son, Lee Greenwood, Lee Greenwood's helper monkey, Fred Rated, Joe Isuzu, Clara Peller, and Steven Root since he had an extra 12 minutes in his schedule."

Before I forget it later, I just wanted to mention the completely bored look on Tig's face during the token chase scene with the Messicans. Even he realizes how dumb this show has gotten.

Edit: He's not the only one that has no sense of urgency when they're running out of the building. Just another day at the office. :lmao:

Kurt Sutter playing a man out of his mind enough to bite off his own tongue. Fitting, since he's been writing like a man out of his mind for a while now.

No Deus Ex Machinas

I'm surprised

An actual good twist

Guy from Lost died

The gun was Clay's

he's going to the clink

Tara tries to run away

Gemma provides a kink

Oh and then there's Otto, he needs a shrink.

I only caught the end, from Walts dad getting smoked onwards..

So did Jax and Jemma set Tara up there at the end?? I'm lost.

It wasn't a good episode.

Dogs are cool. So are weird guys who just decide to speak in French. The trick to take out Pope, while implausible (couldn't he get some of the Mexicans to hide out in the warehouse and get the drop on Pope, instead of hoping he could take out four dudes on his own?), was a neat way to clear the decks for next season, although I'm sure Clay will survive by the skin of his teeth (probably via the Irish) in prison. He has as much chance of dying in s6 as Tig had of dying tonight. Nada. But hey, we get a nutty law enforcement officer as next year's mini-boss, because we haven't done that before.

The rest of this episode stunk. Especially the music. Take your pick, the mariachi music while they chased the Mexican dudes, Katey Segal butchering "To Sir With Love", or Jane's Addiction raping "Sympathy for the Devil"? I'm going with Door 3. If only it was Perry Ferrell's dad instead of Meredith Hunter at Altamont, am I right?

Does it make any sense for Gemma to say how she's "dead" without her grandchildren, even though she tried to drive stoned with them in the car, and punches Tara in the uterus? What if there HAD been another grandchild in there?

Drea De Matteo was pretty good on the Sopranos, but I've seen better acting in Jules Jordan movies than her performance in Tara's office. Meanwhile, Maggie Siff's talents are completely wasted on this ####.

The tongue thing was just for dumb shock value. It's not even possible to do that.

But the worst part of the show (except for the Jane's Addiction song) was stupid Bobby "Elvis." Remember when Bobby Elvis used to play Elvis songs, and not just be a stupid fat guy with a dumb beard who was always whinging? At least Margaret from Boardwalk Empire is pleasant to look at, this ####### has become the worst character on TV. I hate his face. Especially his beard. His beard is worse than Hitler.

"I've got a great idea for an underground dogfighting ring. First, we'll hold matches in a warehouse where random people are just parked outside instead of in a secluded area like any proper dogfighting ring. Second, we'll hold fights around 11 AM. And finally, any dogs that die, we'll just put them out with the rest of the trash, because no garbageman is going to notice that and figure out that we're running an illegal dog fighting ring. !Vamanos!"

Honestly, ***k this show. You guys don't even get a song.

See you next year.

Good episode. Season 3 finale was their best, but this was pretty good.
I enjoyed it. So my guess is we are to believe that Gemma set Tara up but it really wasn't her. Plus we are going to be dealing with crazy former US Marshall next year.
