The show is an absolute cartoon. Hilarious. More cheesy one liners in every episode than I could imagine.

And the plot is as cartoonish as the dialogue. They start out with Skankenstein and just goes from there. I was halfway expecting Chibbs to ask the Sherriff when could they go bone.

The dad was pressing assault charges on Nero because of the scuffle they had when Gemma interrupted his rifling through the girl's pocketbook. After Jax gets done, dad will at least refuse to testify against Nero and at most be physically unable to testify.
