So I was in and out on the episode but why did Jax go ape#### on the dad? Is this like memento now and Gemma is leading Jax around trying to find John G?

The dad was pressing assault charges on Nero because of the scuffle they had when Gemma interrupted his rifling through the girl's pocketbook. After Jax gets done, dad will at least refuse to testify against Nero and at most be physically unable to testify.
