How many callers on Chicago sports radio blame this loss on loosing Benson early in the game?"Our offense is NOTHING without big Ced. I mean come on, he averages 60 yds a game in Dec and Jan. Those are crucial yards!!"
Not paramount,... but woulda/coulda been interesting... Jones was semi-effective in the second half.

I hope not. That would be a joke.

Well Colts fans, congrats on your win, your team outplayed the Bears today, and the Colts completely deserve this win. It wasn't just Rex that lost this game today, the Bears entire team did not play as well as they are capable of, and they were outplayed by the Colts.

I'm gonna have to eat allot of crow, good thing it tastes like chicken.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Rex is making this game so fun to watch
 HE IS THE WORSE QB EVER IN THE SUPERBOWL! KERRY COLLINS MIGHT BE WORSE!
Dilfer and Big Ben come to mind...
...except that they both won.
:bag:
They are still crappy QB's.Dan never won and is a great QB. I would rather have Rex as my QB than Dilfer or possibly Ben, although I am still making up my mind on him.
Dan never because his teams sucked! especially runnning backs and defense!I guess Dan will have to be happy with being a :D HALL OF FAME QB and one of the best quarterbacks ever! Rex still has a lot of years left, but this will hurt him mentally!! I think Dan Marino (out of the booth) would have played better than rex.

The Bears didn't run the football well? That's not true at all. They just didn't commit to the run. If they had just run the ball three times instead of running twice for three or four yards and passing once incomplete, they'd have converted a few first downs, and kept the defense even remotely fresh.
Yeah I agree with this. I don't understand it though.

Peyton... 1 TD, 1 INT and 1 FUMBLE....it was the running game that broke away (aside from turnovers) for Indy.Shame if it goes to Peyton...
First off, how does Addai's fumble go to Manning? The ball went right through Addai's hands because he was watching the DE. The fault of the play has to go to the blocking. No one touched Brown (I think it was him?).Second, don't you think the running game is successful a bit because of Manning? Gee, who do you think the Bears game planned for these past two weeks? Rhodes and Addai running the ball? No, I would say it was to stop the pass.Just stop the hating. It is pretty apparent that one team has a solid QB and the other didn't. That was the difference. Thomas Jones played as well I would say as the Indy running game, but he sure didn't get the opportunities.

They should do something they never have....the offensive line deserves it more than anyone.

Give it to them !!!!

Props to Bill Polian for finally building a championship team that seals the deal. What was he, 0-4 in Super Bowls till tonight (3 losses with the Bills and 1 with Carolina)?

After what happened in Tampa, I'm glad to see Dungy finally get his due.
You mean having a Championship team and not being able to seal the deal?
I think they would have done it with Dungy or Gruden but that was Dungy's team. Gruden has proved to be less than effective as a coach since.
Dungy had the exact same team the year before. Dungy has had Championship talent in Indy for a few years now.

Digg.com's Kevin Rose sneaks into the GoDaddy.com commercial. That makes the day complete.

God, I'm such a geek.

I don't think it's that easy and Tampa did lose to the Rams who were supposed to be the team of the decade.

Losing Benson early hurt - he was the hammer on offense.Good game played by the Colts.Shame with Rex's performance. Still a pretty good 1st full year.IMO The Bears have nothing to be ashamed of - the Colts earned their way to the Superbowl - but I'm sure the Bears are going to feel they left unfinished business on the field.I can honestly say that I believe that this will end up being a positive experience for the Bears and Rex's growth as a QB, but its going to go rough for Rex in Chicago for a while. You can bet Mariotti is going to be blood bathing in this loss tomorrow.

It is pretty easy. The Colts defense is all about making teams convert 3rd downs and make long drives and not giving up the big plays. The Bears didn't put together any long drives. See what the Colts did all day long as an example of long sustained drives. Rex Grossman's best games this year were when they broke a few long TDs and they didn't do that at all. Thomas Jones looked good and up until the last few minutes, I am pretty sure that they ran the ball more than passed, but they just didn't pick up enough first downs to score on any drives that weren't started with a turnover/great field position.By the way, congrats to the Colts. It was very, very apparent that they were the better team, by a wide margin. If not for Hester, the short missed FG, the missed XP and several short FGs which weren't TDs, this game would have been a blow out.

I disagree. But this ones on me.

 To be honest, the entire offense, minus the turnovers, played fantastic. If it weren't raining, I think they would have easily put 40+ up today.

Congrats to the Colts. I said they were a team of destiny prior to the Ravens game (posted here) so I'm not surprised at all. they aren't a dynasty but they will be in the running as long as they have Peyton Manning.

Bears? Good season. You guys got further than I thought you would and getting to the Super Bowl is not an easy proposition.

Next Year? Seahawks are back and win. Book it, I'll be in Arizona.

Congrats Colts and their fans.

I kept thinking a big lead is coming but that Chi-town D just wouldn't break but for a FG.

Kinda bugged me how predictable Rex's 4th Q breakdown was and some of those sloppy plays but otherwise it was a fun game to watch.

Loved Dungy saying "I sure wasn't the first with the ability" what a guy

Get out of here with this BS. This reasoning is the most ridiculous #### I've ever heard in my life. Give this type of nonsense a rest already. :lmao:
