No chance Abi is able to to act like an adult much

longer. In a semi-related note, I still dont understand the story Peih gave about the braclet ending up in her bag.
Said she saw this empty bag hanging there, so I guess she thought it was ok to just take for her own. Peih, you didn't think it might belong to anyone? :loco:

Thief!
Meh...someone snagging a bag that doesn't belong to them happens hourly in Cambodia
touche`

Not to mention when she has the one on one with Abi she says "I know you were looking all over for it so I'm glad you found it" ..

You know you took a bag that didn't belong to you, watched her search and whine about it and waited until you got busted to say anything.. yea.. real "honest" mistake

Not sure if P-G is a thief or just really dumb. Who would want that hideous tacky bracelet.. looked like a dog collar.

Whatever happened there with the bag grab I'm assuming happened before they even got to the boats? Whatever it was, seems an odd way to distribute bags.

Good editing on Joe yoga reactions vs Vytas yoga reactions. "She can see your idol." Annnd... :bye:

so did pi gee (think i misspelled that) steal abi's bag or is abi just insane? i think i missed something there.

my :2cents:

PG knew that Abi has a short temper and purposely took/hid her bag to get her to explode so the target would be on her back for an early vote off..

I had the same thought, that maybe she intentionally took it to get Abi riled up. If so, great move.

My daughter picked up on that as well.

I don't know anything about PG, but I was hoping this was the case too.

ETA: There's really no other good explanation for it. She can't be that dense to pick up an 'unclaimed bag' to use and then not notice that ugly ### bracelet inside it.

Yeah but she just left it laying around, totally incriminated herself.. would have made more sense to chuck it completely or at least hide it better

Never understood why some people wear dress clothes or anything that isn't stuff you can wear camping.

One guy is in a blue dress shirt and spandex underwear, the dude that got kicked out was wearing tights with a built in cup or something.

I recall reading once that the show picks clothes for the contestants. (I'm not sure about underwear though.)

didn't abi at least used to be hot? They didn't show her butt at all.

Not sure of her name but that one chick has gained like 50lbs since she was on before and is still rocking a bikini. :X

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Jeff, you know how much I love the fact that you all decided to hide idols in challenges this season. This was your first time trying it out, so tell me about the execution and Kelley’s risky decision to go back and get it.
JEFF PROBST: You have been suggesting to us for years to do this and it was always just a matter of it feeling like it was the right time. Creatively, this is definitely one of those “big risk” moves for us as a show because if it fails and the players can’t pull it off, then we may not have any idols in the season. The first big step was figuring out how to execute. We decided to let them find a note that at first they would think was an idol — so we get the high … followed by an immediate low when they learn it’s not the idol … followed by another high when they realize it will lead them TO the idol … followed by a major twist: You have to be daring enough to grab the idol in front of everybody while in the middle of an immunity challenge. Huge stakes!

It was an exciting day at the challenge because we had a dedicated camera following Wentworth with only one job: If she goes for it, we have to get the shot of her getting the idol. We would not get a second chance. The only other question was: could she pull it off? I don’t think you could have asked for more tension as she waited and debated — looking for that one moment when she could go back to grab it. I was really proud of her as a player because THAT is how you have to play this game inSurvivor: Second Chance. It also let me breathe a sigh of relief that this idea was going to work.

You know I also love it when you guys insert choices into things. Here the tribes had to decide right off the bat how much to stock up on supplies before heading out on a raft to get the bag of rice on the other boat. Any chances we will have more choices down the line? And did you anticipate people like Wiglesworth, Woo, and Joe swimming for it?
Choice is one of the cornerstones of our creative because it forces a decision and that often leads to conflicting points of views before, during, and after the decision has been made. So yes, fans and players should always expect choices! We were so unprepared for someone swimming from the beginning that we really didn’t even have the proper coverage set up to capture it. We had several boats in the water with camera and sound operators, and when Wiglesworth starting swimming from the beginning we were shocked! Our director, David Dryden, and his team really had to scramble to make up a new plan — live — in the ocean. A massive task but they pulled it off.

Those are the days when you come home and you are truly grateful to work on Survivor. For all the planning we do, the real truth is that ultimately we turn the show over to the players and they do whatever they want. That’s their only job: play! Our job is to capture their story. That marooning was a very exciting beginning. I have to also add that the opening several minutes where they are traveling through Angkor Wat was in the planning stages for months. Literally, months. I want our fans to know that these things aren’t made up the day before. We are often planning them before we even know who will be on the show. We had our “A” team producing this open and wow did it work. One of my favorites of all time. When the four boats, with Survivors, pulled up to me for the official opening it was a really powerful moment. I knew what they had been through and it had all worked!

You didn’t end up showing it in the episode because you can’t fit everything in, but there was some last minute scrambling that went on at Tribal Council when Jeff Varner asked Kelly Wentworth and Peih-Gee in front of everybody to confirm to him which way they were leaning before the voting started. Did you notice a difference in the energy or tone of TC by bringing them straight to Tribal from the challenge instead of letting them go back to camp and strategize?
There is a definite slow burn shift in how the game is played this season. You may not notice it out of the gate, but it slowly begins to shift and in a way that does impact the game in a very significant way. I’ll be curious how it plays with the fans. I am also curious if it carries on in future seasons or was simply a byproduct of having true “second chance” players who came in with a very different motivation. And glad you mentioned that we can’t show everything. It’s one of the only drags of the show, there simply is not enough time. There wouldn’t be enough time if CBS gave us two hours for every episode. But it’s a good problem to have — too much great material!

These contestants really put themselves out there by publicly campaigning for votes. Does that make being the first one eliminated that much harder? Vytas even said that he would have rather not gotten voted in than be the first one out.
That’s a great question. I’m sorry to hear Vytas feels that way; it’s not the way I would look at it. I’d be so proud to be voted in by the fans. It’s pretty amazing that our fans chose this entire cast. Not one single bit of influence by any of the crew or CBS. Zero. I mean zero. I had no idea until one hour into the live show (when we stopped the voting) who the final cast was going to be. So yes, someone is going to be first off. It’s meaningless. First off or 19th off — there is only one winner. You must play this game in order to have a chance to win and if you do play, like Vytas did, then you are always at risk of being blindsided. That’s it. You can’t second-guess your second chance.

Okay, sir. Off to a great start. Tease us up for next week and this season in general.
Next week you really start to see the emotion come to the surface. There’s a truly romantic story of love, there’s a moment of empathy and comfort from someone you wouldn’t expect, there’s another exciting challenge that results in more tears at the thought of Tribal Council. That enough?

As for the season in general, I will not predict if people will like it or not — as they always let me know! But I will say this: In our 31 seasons, we’ve never had a group that came into the game with such devotion to the game. They were in it from the moment their journey through Angkor Wat started. They were playing hard the minute they dove off the boat. They pulled off massive blindsides and shifted the strategy of the game. If you told me I could bring all 20 back again and do it again I would say yes. I absolutely enjoyed every single person and I thank them for what they gave. Survivor is an ###-kicking adventure and it is not for the faint of heart or those who are more comfortable on the couch. This group has waited a long time for this opportunity and I think you’ll agree that they deliver.

I don't remember blonde Kelly being so hot, but she's smoking. smooth move getting the idol too.

the tribe with Joe, Jeremy, Tasha and that other guy will be tough to beat in physical challenges.

Abi has the face of an ultimate fighter in the waning years. Not good.

How did they not anticipate anyone swimming for the rice? First thing I thought of was one person from each tribe should make a break for it and swim it while the rest of the tribe took their time to gather supplies. Jeff didn't say the whole team had to get to the bag, nor that they even had to all be off the boat before someone could make a break for the rice.

No idea why someone didn't start out for it right away while everyone else fought over chickens.
I think he said the team had to leave the boat at the same time. They had to wait on Joe to finish chopping the rope. Once they were away they could swim.

Jeff Varner had on the long sleeve blue shirt and a tie. There was an open to the public party at a restaurant called Hams last night for him down the street from my brother (about 15 minutes from me). John Fairplay and Jan (from Nicaragua) showed up. I didn't go. Anyway, Jeff was interviewed there and said they pick your clothes. He said they tell you kinda what they want you to wear, and you choose options, and they pick it. He said Cambodia was the hottest place he has ever been, and he was so hot in that long sleeve shirt, tie, thick khakies, thick socks, and leather shoes.

He said when they first called him to do the Second Chances he said no. They told him to think about it some more. He said it was a bad time in his life. He had just quit smoking and gained a bunch of weight, and most of all his mom was fighting breast cancer. She told him they needed the money for bills and to go, so he changed his mind and went.

Abi is a born hotsor who's getting uglier and uglier from being miserable/frowny all the time

Wiggles' botox/face work is embarrassing. I'll never understand the vanity behind people doing this to themselves.

Jeff's in it.. good luck to that guy

Shirin spilled this on twitter, way to make friends Diets. The chicks in that tribe don't figure to take much ####.

Hope Jeff does well. He deserves a second chance, getting voted out by a rule that was stupid and is no longer used.

If a tribal vote was tied, whoever had the most votes in previous tribals was eliminated.

I've been watching Survivor since it started and I must be getting old as I don't recall lil petite cutie Monica.

Wigglesworth definitely had some work done to her face.

Don't understand Abi. She's a terrible person and player. What I don't understand is Jeff said okay we're going to vote NOW, but it was still daylight THEN and when the tribe walked in to their seat stumps it was dark and some of them walked in with bags. I don't recall seeing that when they entered the challenge. (I'll have to watch show again I think to verify)

I'm rooting for:

- Ciera

- Spencer

- Monica

Tribal council should be something like this to shake things up...

Jeff - "Welcome to tribal council."

Tribe - "Meh, mumble."

Jeff - "Contestant 1, its time to vote."

Tribe - " "

Has the makings of a good season, watching last night there ended up being more players I like than I initially thought when the announced everyone at the reunion show.

Keith was killing it last night.
Keith cracks me up - he's one player I'm happy to see again.

I really like the twist on the idol.... that was fun watching Kelly squirm during the challenge.

Watching Fish trying to break the branch :lmao:
I hate Keith. He's got no idea how to play and he doesn't even care to learn. He thinks he did something right to make it to the final 4 last time. He was dragged there because he was never a threat and he might last forever here for the same reason.

Kimmi had reveled at one of the challenges Jeff had gotten a vote at tribal. At the merge the sides were tied, the other tribe used that knowledge to all vote Jeff and he was sent home and that gave that tribe the numbers advantage.

IIRC, he did pretty well in Immunity challenges that season, which got him pretty far as well. I wouldn't say others dragged him to the end. He just used the physical game along with a non-threatening social game to get there.

How different that season could have been without that rule.

On Ogakor, they had a previous tie within their tribe between Mitchell and Keith. Mitchell lost that on previous votes.

If that goes the other way, Keith is gone which would have greatly changed things within the Ogakor tribe.

During the 5-5 tie between tribe, if Kucha won, the group in control would have been Jeff, Alicia, Nick, Rodger and Elizabeth. Colby would not have went on an immunity run as he would have been voted out at the merge.

If Ogakor wins, Colby is the likely winner instead of Tina. Keith was bitter at Colby choosing Tina over him for the final 2 and wouldn't vote for him. It would have been interesting though cause Amber and Mitchell were tight and if they could bring in Jerri, they'd have the 3-2 advantage over Colby and Tina.

This might be the saddest thing I have ever read. It was over a decade ago.

Thrilled to see Shirin gone. Can't believe Spencer cried over her.

Jeff being turned on by Abi?

Just how fricken' big was that fishing net to where Joe could make 5 hammocks out of it and still have enough to go fishing?

I thought it was interesting how the old school (build relationships) vs. new school (strategizing at all costs) was a microcosm of today's society.

Had to shake my head at Spencer going to Woo to be disloyal to his allance.Hey Spencer remember that speech you made about how everyone should vote for Tony over Woo. Woo the guy who is to loyal for his own good. Spencer is an overrated player.

Once they laughed at Abi it was over. Shirin and Spencer were idiots. They had a 5-4 advantage, barely an advantage and they let the girl who is an emotional disaster get run over by a member of the 4 and you laugh at her? Then you try and beg people you ignored to help you at the last minute? They were so bad all 3 of their alliance of 5 voted against them. They took their foot of the gas way too early.

Also, I think that tribe is destined for failure, the other tribe just seems way better at challenges and likely will keep running the table.
