I hope he is gone soon, my son and I were laughing when he cried.Colton paddled his oar like he was stroking a cat![]()
Glad to see his redemption arc looks to be short lived. Also glad they immediately moved to minimize Rupert's screen time.
Although I do think it's lame Probst gave them fire. It wasn't always the case. What's the point of winning the reward at the challenge if the losing team gets the same thing 6 hours later? Used to be, on some seasons, they couldn't take the torches home and didn't get fire until they won the reward. Giving it to them now sucked. Let 'em suffer I say.
It hit me how interesting it was to split it up this way, in that it gave the 'loved ones' some minor advantage to even the playing field--logically, no returning player picked someone significantly older, figuring to use it to their advantage. With the script flipped, at least the loved ones tribe has youth on their side.
On the fire, I am pretty sure I remember Probst giving other teams flint at tribal before. A tribe can't go a week without water. No idea on the waterfall, but since they weren't filling up their canteens, I would assume that they couldn't drink that water. Based on the surival rules of three, you can go without water for 3 days. I am sure people have survived longer, but isn't it 3 days between tribal councils? If so, they would have a real problem without water after a couple days at the start and 3 more days. I would bet that there is not a case where they let a tribe go 2 periods (the time from the start to a tribal and then to the next tribal) without fire.
Other than the one dude that played on the US water polo team that one year, black guys are pretty much 0 for the history of the show in swimming challenges.
