I thought this season was pretty boring overall. I'd like to do away with bringing past members back, and also get rid of Redemption Island. Redemption Island brings nothing to the game. If they do keep it, they need to bring the player back when there are 8-9 people remaining, not so close to the end. I'm pretty sure every time someone has come back from Redemption Island they pretty much proceed to get voted out immediately (barring winning immunity).

I agree about past players in general, but I thought the Blood vs. Water twist was interesting. It certainly added more drama and strategy to the game. I don't mind Redemtion Island, but I agree that they need to be brought back earlier.

Yeah I don't like it. I wouldn't mind it if it wasn't so stinking predictable. The way they do it makes the person that comes back a dead man walking.

I can't even list all the things I hate about redemption island. But here are a few.

1. The person who came back has been voted out, that person can't win....ever.....As someone who watched the very first episode live, I was not happy when they had the "pirate" tribe of people voted out return. This violates pretty much the tenant of the game. You can't "outplay" anyone who you would be up against in the end if you are not even seeing them back at camp. You can't "outwit" anyone back at camp if you are on an island by yourself. The very fact that you are on Redemption means you have been outwitted at least once. The only thing is "outlast" and even then it is is still pitiful it is much easier to come in 1 or 2 out of 3 than win immunity in the group.

2. I know why they do it. It is "good Tv" to have some loser flip off the players who haven't got smoked and bash them for their own loser play. Bitter jury is bad enough, but they have found a way to get more temper tantrums and whine fests into the game. Plus it saves on budget.

3. Virtually everything else is more entertaining than watching the three worst players in the game, with no interesting storylines other than man I can wait to get in and get voted out, play against each other. It is like scab football. These players are the ones who couldn't hang with the good players, so by all means lets keep showing Lauras hairy pits, because NO ONE CARES about the people there. Oh NO NOT JOHN. wait what who is John?

4. I actually like the rewards portion of the show. The stingless jellyfish lake and helicopter rides were much more interesting that watching sorry ### Tina who got crushed and outplayed badly hold a Captain Morgan pose so she could get back in the game and give up and not even make a play for Gervase or Monica. Great player, get back in the game and immediately ally with the side that had no numbers, you gotta try to crack it.

5. You literally forget who is on redemption. There is not cameras there and you have to check your dvr to see who got sent there last week.

6. The timing is off. Who the hell starts their show with the payoff? First thing duel to see who is going home. Then you have the show? It takes away from the vote because all the vote means is you get sent to the losers bracket. Terrible.

Yeah, after watching the show... Ciera did get robbed.

Also, would have been the worst Survivor moment in history of Survivor if Tyson does not give the idol to Gervase to save things.

And, in the final challenge if someone wanted to give themselves up... could they have stayed on the little platform after that rope boat thing. They could have stayed on that island if Tina left her bag there. Would have been interesting to see.

Turns out it was not even needed. They showed after that Monica did not flip.

But yes, it was the 100% right move to make no matter what.

Just wanted to bump this. Cierra is getting mentioned as a Parvarti 2.0 on survivor blogs and stuff, this error she made was so drastic and totally changed the game. Sucks that Jeff remembers what he wants to remember and makes players get legendary status just because he wants them to be icons for future seasons. Just watch, Cierra will be back a dozen times to play the game and eventually win in season 45 against her child and Laura's mom.

 
Hard to stomach Monica. Deserves all the venom she gets. She knows Tyson can give Gervas the idol yet she still worked up those tears to play the victim and pretend like she might vote with Ciera. She never had any intention to vote Gervas otherwise she would have played it cool and not put Tyson and Gervas on edge. She just was enjoying all that attention. Then she did it again at the next tribal knowing full well she did not want Tina in that final three.

I wonder how easy it is to reveal info to the jury. Wouldn't it be easy for Tyson or Gervas to let the jury know that Monica knew they had the idol and that her "dilemma" was just a ploy for camera time. That Monica was basically toying with Ciera and Tina. Ciera/Laura and Tina/Katie. No wonder the whole jury despised Monica.

The douches always use the term "edit" in the reunion show to let us now how hip they are. Sure enough Monica and Brad referred to their "edit" several times. Perfect.

I know everyone despised Monica and that if everyone was openly talking about the idol during those tribals it wouldn't make her look any less ridiculous.

I am guessing, since they like having the entire cast return for the reunion show, Probst agreed to take it easy on Colton in regards to that (since Colton probably threw a fit and said he wouldn't show up if Probst was gonna ream him some more, and not the same way his bf probably does). Notice that Probst kind of skirted around his game issues several times and eventually just steered it away from him and moved on to others in the cast.

i know what aarp is.... :wall: it was monica that asked "what's aarp?"

and both cierra and monica made huge huge blunders. cierra was a week too late and monica did nothing 3 tribals in a row. hayden and tyson were the two best players in the game and laura is a machine.
