Marvelous Marvin Hagler vs Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns, 30 years ago tonight.... It was like two asteroids crashing in the Nevada desert......Ask the wide-eyed world of boxing to nominate the most ferocious three minutes ever fought in the ring and the universal answer is the first round of Marvin Hagler vs Thomas Hearns for the middleweight championship of the world.....The Ring magazine, the bible of the sport, enshrines the opening three minutes as ‘one of the greatest first rounds of all time’ and the entire fight as ‘the most electrifying eight minutes ever’......
Hagler’s legacy as one of the greatest middleweights in the annals of the ring was secured

This Saturday JC Chavez Jr, Terrence Crawford have fights along with the hugely anticipated potential FOTY between two of the toughest brawlers in the sport, Lucas Matthysse and Ruslan Provodnikov. Can't wait.

I think he matches up very well with Floyd as well, might be the toughest guy for Floyd. However, he hasn't done anything to earn it. His resume is Spike not Mayweather PPV.

I will admit im surprised he took the fight on spike. Seems like a head scratcher. I think he deserves a shot, maybe he hasnt earned it. But he has looked good of late. And mayweather did duck him after he won that vote between him and maidana. Maidana deserved that fight but i would have rather seen him fight khan.

The Algieri fight makes sense for Khan since Algieri is basically a less talented version of Khan. Amir has to avoid punchers because of his weak chin. Algieri is likely an easy win over a guy that has been in with Pac on PPV so it gets him a step closer to that potential PPV fight he has always wanted. Khan lost to Peterson and Garcia which makes him 2-2 against fighters you could consider worthwhile championship level opponents.

Tru but i thought PEDerson lost that fight honestly and he did test positive for PEDs which puts an asterisk by that loss. Also, lets not forget his win over Maidana who is a big puncher. He seems to be more disciplined now which will help protect his chin.

Peterson did test positive, which puts an asterisk on it. As for Maidana, that was awhile ago and Maidana hadn't gotten good training yet himself. He has developed a ton since that fight.

Im glad Russian Rocky-Matthysse is gonna be the 2nd fight, wasnt sure what the order was going to be. Still watching some hockey now.

Crawford is oustanding. Dulorme is a tough fight, but Crawford is such a skilled fighter that he just broke him down. Fantastic stuff.

Really stinks there is no HBO Mayweather/Pacquiao 24/7. I watched the special HBO had and it was just ok. Good for the Manny side, but really nothing of Mayweather (understandably). The behind the scenes stuff leading up to this fight would have been extraordinary.

SHOWTIME has the mayweather version. They kept them separate.

Disappointed I missed the Provodnikov fight.
One of the best fights I've ever seen. Seriously. I taped the fight, then started to watch it late night and fell asleep in round 4 (thanks Lunesta). Watched it this morning. The masses will be happy if the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight is even 1/2 what this one was - though I doubt it will be with Mayweather dancing all night.

After the Derby I'm going to show this as the warm up to big fight for those who haven't seen it - it was that good.

Wish I saw the fights last night...The HW supposedly should be good but Klits is a huge favorite. Dont think Ive seen Jennings before now.
