color me entertained.  Ochocincos fight was hilarious.  Props to him though for getting in there.  and damn Hurd fell off.

well, i was entertained.  surprised Floyd couldnt drop him but hes a big boy.  Apparently Logal landed double the punches but floyd was more efficient.

I suspect he made it look easier so he can get more of these.

I didn't watch.  What has happened to Hurd and was the decision legit?
Most people felt it should have been unanimous that he lost even though he barely won on one card.  He was just getting out worked and aired out.  I feel like he always does this and drops people late but it never happened.  He needs big work on his defense.  was a good fight though.

Some fights tonight:

Inoue is fighting

Charlo is fighting

and Julio Ceasar Chavez Jr and SR are fighting on the same card.  Sr against Macho Camacho JR and Chavez Jr against Anderson SIlva(yes you read that correctly)

Im tempted to buy that ppv but i will pass.

Chavez is such a joke.  An active fighter with his level of name recognition losing to a former UFC fighter is inexcusable, and no other active fighter as well known as him would have ever come close to losing in that situation.

At the other end of the spectrum, Inoue really is a monster!  I have him at #2 P4P, just behind Canelo by a razor-thin margin.  Go fight each other, Bud & Spence, before you drop out of the Top 5.

JCC Jr has always been an embarrassment and has never been very good. He lived off his dads name and being able to cut a huge amount of weight when he was “in his prime”.

Even tho he’s a joke i thought no way he loses, on the cards on his dads card in Mexico.  Man that guy needs to just hang it up.  It’s over.  Sad and pathetic.

I have a free bet on any boxing match tonight.  Was leaning Lomachenko by decision +100, or Davis by decision +265.  Any thoughts from you people who know boxing on if either of those are a good prospect, or if I should be thinking something else?

Tough fight for Loma coming off his first career loss. He's giving up a lot of height/length.

Yeah looking at the weigh in, the opponent towers over him.  Almost feel like I should throw the free bet on the Nakatani and pray for a lottery win.

It was close but thought Castano did just enough to beat Charlo.  A draw is reasonable, but it deprived us of a true World Champion at 154.  Hope the rematch happens by the end of the year

Agree.  I think the draw was fair being a unification.  I did have castano winning as well. But charlo win the championship rounds and that always changes things.  Also that one score card was ridiculous.

they better rematch.

Ugas won and clearly deserved it,  but Manny wasn't seriously hurt and didn't embarrass himself.  Not a bad way to go out, all things considered.

Agreed.  If that manny fought Spence it would have been very very bad.  Like he would have gotten hurt badly.  I’m really happy that didn’t happen.

congrats to ugas.  Now go fight Spence and let’s see about that Crawford Spence fight in 22.

Joshua-Usyk in two days.  I am fascinated by this fight.

* Rare heavyweight matchup between two Olympic gold medalists. The first since Lennox Lewis vs Ray Mercer in the mid-1990s.

* Usyk is the first southpaw AJ will face professionally.

* Size difference. Holyfield proved cruiserweights can transition into successful heavyweights and Usyk is the second-greatest cruiserweight just behind Evander himself. Still, the height and weight differences are considerable.

* Joshua still has a lot to prove, as this will be just his third fight since getting kayoed by Ruiz.

Should be fun!

Ringwalk happening now FYI.  I agree should be a fun one.

Also i presume yall saw Canelo and Plant mix it up?  if you havent watch the full press conference its very awkward especially when they ask them about cheating.

Had it 116-112 Usyk. Seemed the most obvious Usyk points bet ever, has paid for all my degeneracy today. AJ may be a specimen, but he can't box on the same level as Usyk, add on that Usyk is up from cruiser and would be unlikely to get the KO (although if this was a 15 round fight he would have done) and we get paid. Joshua is just boring to watch, I still hope we can see Fury take him to school at some point

Had Usyk winning by about the same. Joshua will rematch him in early 2022 but unlike Ruiz, Usyk is far superior so even in the rematch, I'm not sure Joshua wins.

Decent slate of fights to end the year:

Wilder/Fury 3: No one was asking for this fight but here it is. Fury smashed Wilder in fight 2 and has won 75% of the rounds over both fights.  While Wilder has Foreman-like power,  Wilder is what he is at this point, basically a one-punch fighter. Fury in will win this fight, likely not as easy as fight 2 but still a W.

Teofino/ Kamboses; Teo last fought by beating Loma almost a year ago now.  What Teo do we get in this fight now that he is champion ? Teo should win this somewhat easily unless he has fallen off a cliff.

Herring/Stevenson: Stevenson is the favourite but never been a big fan of him (at least yet) as he has largely fought tomato cans. Him fighting a 35-year old Herring here is a nice step up fight for him before he moves up in weight.

Canelo/Plant: Plant has no chance in this fight.  Only reason this fight is being made is the crown and unify the middleweight champion (Canelo).

Crawford/Porter: Porter is always a tough out but Crawford is likely too much for him.

I was 50/50 in the first fight but will be all in on Usyk in the rematch.  The obvious comparison is to the Ruiz fights, but their differences illustrate why I strongly favor Usyk.

Prefight - Yes, Joshua was planning to fight Fury instead of Usyk, just like he was planning to fight Big Baby when his PED test came back positive and he had to be replaced by Ruiz.  And yes, each "replacement" opponent was considerably different from the original opponent.  However, unlike with Ruiz, camp had not yet started for the Fury fight, which means Joshua had a full camp to focus on Usyk as the opponent.  Any flaws with the camp or the training cannot be blamed on the change of opponents.

First fight - Joshua lost the two fights in vastly different ways.  Against Ruiz, Joshua was in control, winning rounds and inflicting damage.  He knocked down Ruiz in the 4th and went in for the kill a bit prematurely when he got caught with a perfect countershot that changed everything.  Against Uzyk, Joshua was systematically beaten down.  He had some success in the middle rounds but Uzyk started strong and finished stronger.

Rematch gameplan - Given the way Joshua lost to Ruiz, the approach to the rematch for Joshua was clear - pick him apart from the outside and minimize Ruiz's opportunities to counter.  It made for a boring fight but it worked.  With Usyk, where do you start?  The smaller man came up the middle and avoided most of Joshua's offense with superior footwork and head movement.  Joshua was visibly uncomfortable dealing with Usyk's southpaw stance, despite the fact he (presumably) focused on that throughout this camp.

Opponent's response - The Ruiz who beat Joshua was not the same man who showed up for the rematch.  He gained a massive amount of weight and appeared undertrained.  This will be the opposite situation.  Usyk is an Olympic gold medalist, a undisputed world cruiserweight champion who won the World Boxing Super Series and Muhammad Ali Trophy while defending titles at that weight.  He then very deliberately and precisely crafted his body into a heavyweight fighting machine.  He has demonstrated a Spartan discipline and success now will not change that.  Like Ruiz, the Usyk who shows up for the rematch won't be the same  - he will study those 4 rounds he lost to Joshua and see what can be adjusted.  He will take that knowledge into camp and maximize it.  He will show Joshua things that he didn't the first go around.  He will be better than he was in the first fight.

TL/DR - Bet on Usyk.  He won't hold back on finishing Joshua but he won't force it either, so I won't have a more specific prediction, but Usyk will win again.

Fury-Wilder III is 2 days away.  I'll give these guys this - they know how to promote a fight.

Logic dictates that Fury will again win comfortably.  Just takes one clean shot from Wilder tho

Here is my prediction. The last fight i still think his equilibrium was off (Like Joshuas firrst against Ruiz)  and it’s rare that happens especially again. Without that i don’t feel fury dominates like that. He may out box him though. Now i still feel wilder can land his shot eventually. We saw that in the first fight and he’s seen enough to land it again potentially quicker.

The xfactor is how does he bounce back from such a brutal beat down. We haven’t seen this so we don’t know. Will he be tentative all fight? Fight scared? Or be focused?  How will the long lay off impact him?  How will it impact Fury (who i believe is 20 lbs heavier).

I’m thinking wilder is focused. i think wilder gets outboxed and wilder finds him again and drops him. Can fury get up this time? Wilder round 10 KO

As someone fervently rooting for Wilder, thank you for giving me hope

JRock just got upset on the free FS1 undercard and now Berlanga is being taken into deep waters.  Strange goings on so far...

I know Fury has proven appearances are not the do all end all, but is it asking too much for PPV-caliber heavyweights to not have a noticeable layer of fat on their upper bodies?

Good win for Anderson.  I will almost always root for fit over flabby.

Anderson is the guy who refuted the rumor that he KOed Fury in this training camp BTW.  May be something to it
