I didn't hang on for the last 3 seasons, but caught the finale. Perfect ending. They nailed it. Glad I hung on for the last 3 years. Awesome final.
"I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them."
Haven't watched the retro yet but that was a pretty perfect finale.Frostillicus said:Nailed it.

That's when it started getting dusty in the living room.
Certainly made me flash back.Selling drugs, trafficking endangered species meat, and stealing weapons-grade LSD from the military back in the '60s when he was in a band. Loved the finale. Just the right blend of funny and sappy. Wish I could have fired a bazooka during my bachelor party...Why was Creed arrested?
I laughed out loud at that. Just Awesome.packersfan said:"I feel like all my children have grown up and married each other. It's every parent's dream."

I've missed you Michael Scott.

Great line."I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them."
That was great, I missed it at first though, my wife actually pointed it out to me.I did, however, identify that Angela song as being a Motley Crue one even though I had never heard of it beforehammerva said:I also wonder how many people start using "Sweet Child of Mine" in their wedding. It was weird to hear a Gun & Roses song at a wedding but does make sense

Not at all. Again, particularly with "I wish there was a way to know about the good old days before you actually left them" For me, being in the office supply industry quite literally my whole life, it really hit close to home.Great line."I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them."
At the risk of sounding really cheesy, I started thinking about my work environment. We all have #####ed about our jobs, deal with the BS, etc....but at the end of the day, I really really enjoy the people that I work with. And you need to or else you'll go insane. You spend more time with these people then you do your own family.
I'm inclined to agree that I thought the show should've ended after Carell left, but at the same time I don't think that the finale would've been near as good not having missed Michael Scott for so long to have him come back and hit one out of the park one last time.I still think the show should've ended when Carell left but I applaud the way they brought the series to a close. The last three episodes were really good and the finale was sensational. So even if the show overstayed its welcome a bit I think the way it ended was about as perfect as one could've hoped for.
I agree that was outstanding. I didn't think the show was very good post-Carell but maybe in some respects it was worth it so we could have a really terrific finale.I'm inclined to agree that I thought the show should've ended after Carell left, but at the same time I don't think that the finale would've been near as good not having missed Michael Scott for so long to have him come back and hit one out of the park one last time.I still think the show should've ended when Carell left but I applaud the way they brought the series to a close. Back in the 60's the army performed experiments with LSD on army grunts without their knowledge. Several killed themselves.Weapons grade LSD.![]()

) and this will be suggested next time she bring it up.I completely forgot that's who Kelly left with last season.badmojo1006 said:Mohinder!
Agreed. Very well done final episode.packersfan said:I'm so glad they brought Michael back. Ending the series without him would've been wrong on every level. The show hasn't been as good without him in my opinion but it's impressive how well done this episode was. A fitting end to a classic TV series.
Mrs. SLB only watches it on occassion with me and couldn't firgure out WTF was going on there. When Michael wasn't part of the reunion I figured he had to come back for the wedding. Once Jim said he wasn't old enough to be the best man I knew that's when it had to be. Still was such a great scene.
Also loved all the guests dropping off cats as wedding presents.![]()
Kelly and Ryan going at it after Ryan said he got the baby sick so he could talk to her was also classic.
This was such a great show. Top 5 comedy of all time? Seinfeld, Cheers, MASH, All in the Family. Not sure what else could rank above it.
This. Talk about resonating with your audience. I'll never be able to shake this line."I wish there was a way to know youre in the good old days before youve actually left them."
Not sure why people think this is funny. Seems like a good idea to me.Also loved all the guests dropping off cats as wedding presents.![]()
The only part I didn't like was the Ryan/Kelly story line, but I always hated it. I do love that Nelly finally got her baby.
I'm the opposite. Love Ryan and Kelly, can't stand Nelly.I thought it was a perfect ending. The only part I didn't like was the Ryan/Kelly story line, but I always hated it. I do love that Nelly finally got her baby.
I almost forgot about that. May be my favorite line of the entire show: "The bride and groom stand in their own graves, to remind them that this is the only way out."I thought it was a perfect ending. The only part I didn't like was the Ryan/Kelly story line, but I always hated it. I do love that Nelly finally got her baby.
I loved seeing Dwight as a good manager. The end where they fired Jim & Pam was perfect along with him talking about getting along with his subordinates.
Small but really good bits:
Phillis trying to get the new guy to fatten up.
Kevin's magic number
Cats as wedding gifts
The graves and hay bales at the wedding
The Office's Facebook page posted Dwight and Angela's wedding invitations last week. On them, it said "In lieu of presents, bring cats."Not sure why people think this is funny. Seems like a good idea to me.Also loved all the guests dropping off cats as wedding presents.![]()
It apparently was not...Don Quixote said:That was Chappelle that was Stanley's replacement, right?
does this post make me a racist?Didn't they say the band was The Grass Roots? Which was the band that Creed Bratton actualy played on in the 60's.Selling drugs, trafficking endangered species meat, and stealing weapons-grade LSD from the military back in the '60s when he was in a band. Why was Creed arrested?

I love that they had him around but didn't give him too much dialogue. The "that's what she said" line and the line about kids marrying each other was perfect!Michael Scott's return was triumphant.

was it really?I like they used the same stripper that was at Bob Vance's bachelor party, must be the only one in Scranton.
that's good.
