I also wonder how many people start using "Sweet Child of Mine" in their wedding. It was weird to hear a Gun & Roses song at a wedding but does make sense

I echo the board's sentiments. Excellent finale. Up there with Six Feet Under....glad we got one final "That's what she said".

Why was Creed arrested?
Selling drugs, trafficking endangered species meat, and stealing weapons-grade LSD from the military back in the '60s when he was in a band. Loved the finale. Just the right blend of funny and sappy. Wish I could have fired a bazooka during my bachelor party...

I've missed you Michael Scott.
I laughed out loud at that. Just Awesome.

Great line.

At the risk of sounding really cheesy, I started thinking about my work environment. We all have #####ed about our jobs, deal with the BS, etc....but at the end of the day, I really really enjoy the people that I work with. And you need to or else you'll go insane. You spend more time with these people then you do your own family.

That was great, I missed it at first though, my wife actually pointed it out to me.I did, however, identify that Angela song as being a Motley Crue one even though I had never heard of it before ;)

Not at all. Again, particularly with "I wish there was a way to know about the good old days before you actually left them" For me, being in the office supply industry quite literally my whole life, it really hit close to home.

FWIW, I watched every episode to date over Christmas last year after years of people asking me about The Office. My last business trip I asked about half a dozen other people in the industry if they watched it and they all said no.

I checked out a few years ago but would check in every so often, the finale was the first time I laughed at this show in quite some time. Well done.

I still think the show should've ended when Carell left but I applaud the way they brought the series to a close. The last three episodes were really good and the finale was sensational. So even if the show overstayed its welcome a bit I think the way it ended was about as perfect as one could've hoped for.

I'm inclined to agree that I thought the show should've ended after Carell left, but at the same time I don't think that the finale would've been near as good not having missed Michael Scott for so long to have him come back and hit one out of the park one last time.

I agree that was outstanding. I didn't think the show was very good post-Carell but maybe in some respects it was worth it so we could have a really terrific finale.

Also, getting married while standing in graves was SO ####### awesome. My wife yeah has been hinting about renewing our vows (yeah RIGHT!!! :lmao: ) and this will be suggested next time she bring it up.

Awesome show. As soon as Jim said he wasn't old enough to be the Best man, my allergies kicked in. They got worse when they showed Michael. Weird how that happens.

Seeing this show end is really hard.

That's what she said.

I'm so glad they brought Michael back. Ending the series without him would've been wrong on every level. The show hasn't been as good without him in my opinion but it's impressive how well done this episode was. A fitting end to a classic TV series.
Agreed. Very well done final episode.

When Michael wasn't part of the reunion I figured he had to come back for the wedding. Once Jim said he wasn't old enough to be the best man I knew that's when it had to be. Still was such a great scene.

Also loved all the guests dropping off cats as wedding presents. :lmao:

Kelly and Ryan going at it after Ryan said he got the baby sick so he could talk to her was also classic.

This was such a great show. Top 5 comedy of all time? Seinfeld, Cheers, MASH, All in the Family. Not sure what else could rank above it.

Mrs. SLB only watches it on occassion with me and couldn't firgure out WTF was going on there. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I thought it was a perfect ending. The only part I didn't like was the Ryan/Kelly story line, but I always hated it. I do love that Nelly finally got her baby.

I loved seeing Dwight as a good manager. The end where they fired Jim & Pam was perfect along with him talking about getting along with his subordinates.

Small but really good bits:

Phillis trying to get the new guy to fatten up.

Kevin's magic number

Cats as wedding gifts

The graves and hay bales at the wedding

I almost forgot about that. May be my favorite line of the entire show: "The bride and groom stand in their own graves, to remind them that this is the only way out."

:lmao:

This ring is made from a bullet pulled from the buttocks of my grandmother, put there by the gangster patriarch of the Coors dynasty !

Dwight's entire proposal in the penultimate episode was great. Shouting it at Angela through a megaphone was classic Dwight.

I really enjoyed the final.

You bought the house without asking me. So I thought I could sell it without asking you. :)

That's when it started getting dusty in the living room.
"I wish there was a way to know youre in the good old days before youve actually left them."
This. Talk about resonating with your audience. I'll never be able to shake this line.
I hope the bolded were just exaggerations.

Good ending to a very good show.

The show had a rough few seasons after Michael Scott left, but as far as finales go, they knocked it out of the ####### park. Straight up mic drop.

"I understand what they're going for, but why are the graves so shallow?"

One of the best series finales of all time.

After the show had really stumbled for several years, they really nailed this one.
