This seems to be one of the biggest questions the show is posing right now - Can these people successfully adapt to a more "normal" environment or are they destined to just walk the woods being nomadic savages? Have they done too much and gone too far to go back to any kind of normal type of living? Or will they just destroy everything in their path?

This is an interesting take. Rick's behavior towards Jessie is an example. He's been in the wild so long he has taken on the survive at all costs mentality.. that means take food, take shelter.. whatever. Like he told Aaron in the barn.. "these cans are ours now.. whether we go with you or not, these are ours." There isn't much regard for the belongings of others outside his family/group.

He sees Jessie and wants her. Her having a hubby never crossed his mind because, well, now it's every man for himself.. until he talked with Pete, who asked him about his wife. Rick may have taken a bit of a pause right then. When Pete left Rick glanced at his own ring. Perhaps at that moment he thought what am I doing? Marriage still means something even in this wasteland.

But I imagine after hearing Carol say the guy is beating Jessie and maybe the boy, all those feelings may have flew out the window and now he's back focused on getting rid of Pete and claiming Jessie as his own. Just a thought.

It was probably a little foreshadowing when Daryl was out with Arron trying to save poor Buttons and he said something along the lines of.. after being in the wild we all turn back to our natural self's.

yep. People are born selfish and have to be taught to share as children. Going back to that is as natural as it can get I guess. I'd like to see Rick or Michonne tell Daryl to do something and he flops down and throws a tantrum like a sweaty toddler.

I think that scene was pretty revealing about where he's at right now. He doesn't feel the need for a thorough examination of who anybody is. You're treated with suspicion upon first meeting and it only goes away if you prove yourself over time. If you cross him he'll react immediately. Season 5 Rick would've left Randall impaled to die back in Season 2.

They haven't destroyed anything in their path that wasn't going to be destroyed eventually. Alexandria is a ticking time bomb waiting for someone to attack it and kill everyone inside.

Why they want to stay in Alexandria instead of building their own community in one of the millions of places they could choose all around DC is beyond me.

Alexandria has a bunch of resources that aren't really available most places (or anywhere) due to it being a planned sustainable community.

Step 1 - find a lake

Step 2 - install some solar panels

Step 3 - build a wall with braces on the inside

Seems simple enough, but you're missing one crucial point: their last, best hope for an architect to design that fence just got eaten. Without Noah to learn architecture and design fences and such for them, they are now stuck in Alexandria forever.

Once Rick finds out on runs that they leave people behind if the #### gets too bad he's going to do something.

This something probably will be killing every last one of them, or else, leaving them to die at the hands of someone else in a poetic sense.

Both groups stated there was a "code" about runs going bad. And then the not manning the tower thing. That goes with their attitude of if things get too bad well, I can run faster than you, later.

Not quite. AK-47 and SKS rifles are chambered in 7.62x39. A .308 is basically a 7.62x51, which makes it a much more powerful cartridge.

I liked The Shield. I think it's definitely going to be more popular with the "man TV" bracket on a sports radio show.

I never really watched it enough to get into it. Though I guess maybe it shouldn't have been surprising... IMDB has a public rating thing and The Shield got an 8.8 out of 10 to TWD's 8.7.

I thought Porch D**k was clearly trying to get a rise out of Rick with the wife comment. Rick knew it and didn't like it and wanted to kill him even more now.I agree Rick's sense of savagery is at an all-time high. I think the only thing keeping him grounded in any way are the people he's with. If he was by himself he'd be taking, killing and doing whatever the hell he wanted without a second thought. The change in his character over time has really been fun to watch.

Seeing Rick change has been great. I've almost forgotten about Rick crying like a little ##### on that couch.

But let's say they get some zombie superstrength from the virus. One that turns their skulls to egg shells but turns their fingers to iron and grip strength of Hulk...why can't a horde of them break glass when we see them pile up at a window?

Feel free to find a Romero movie or any other zombie movie where zombies don't eat someone by tearing them apart. It is sad if you are going to complain about that. I don't have to "defend" this show for doing something every other zombie movie/show has done before. That is pretty much standard zombie lore.

Breaking glass? So what? Glass is not skin nor do zombies feed off of glass. Suspend belief a little bit or change your idea of "reality" just a little and the show has been consistent. After all, we call them zombies but the people in the show have never heard of the word "zombie" before so that should tell you something.

Yeah I'm not seeing the issue here. Some things may have changed since Season 1 with what the walkers do but it's not like one episode they're opening up windows and turning on lights and the next they're befuddled by a lamp. It's been established they can rip people apart. If they can do that but they can't do something else I don't care as long as they're consistent with what they can't do. To this point I haven't seen any major problems there.

Anyone that hurts owls dies so this means she's a battered wife with the owl tat and kid broke the owl also so dad and kid are gonna get it, she's gonna live because she like owls, or something.

They seem to see stuff that you guys don't ever talk about and are nearly never right, and I believe watch the show while fully baked. They also say there are owl hoots in the soundtrack which are signals as other owl stuff in the past. I'm waiting for links or evidence to any of this.

It is one thing to as the view to accept that there could be some sort of zombie plague (which we all do). It is another thing to ask the view to ignore things that fly in the face of common sense and/or logic.

If they're going to do that just make it like Harry Potter or LOTR where they can make stuff up as they go along.
