***OFFICIAL 'The Walking Dead' TV Series Thread*** (3 Viewers)

There's absolutely no consistency...they do or do not do...simply to fit the scene.

They ninja through woods (and then breathe loud as hell and stubble through stuff next scene), they pop up from beside where Rick hides his gun (but didn't before), they have explosive grenades on them (even though most people would've tossed those at the zombies while defending their life)...it's just third graders writing this mad - libs script.
It's not unusual that someone would die with unexploded ordinance on them. Perhaps he was killed by friendly fire. Or perhaps he fell and broke his neck. Or maybe it was a heartattack. The fact that he wasn't ripped to shreds is an indication that he wasn't killed by a bunch of zombies, but rather died by some other cause.
He'll just find something else wrong.

Plus that whole most of the population just fell to the disease/fever to start the whole thing off like that guy they left on the side of the road season 1.

I would hope they don't kill off any of the core group at this point. I don't think I feel as much connection, positive or negative, with the characters added since Michone. They don't devote as much time to the character building of all the group as they did earlier in the show.

They ninja through woods
This is the one that drives me nuts.

On Talking Dead this week they showed a scene from next week's episode. Kaaaarl and his new lady friend are sitting in the woods and they hear a walker approaching from about 50 yards away. THAT makes sense. So how have all these other walkers been sneaking up on grown adults in the woods, usually appearing about 45 degrees from where the character is looking (IE well within their field of vision) no less.

They wouldn't kill of Carol, would they?
Scott Gimble > "Melissa, I'm sorry but we wrote a death scene for your character next week. I hated to do it but we kill off all of the characters on the show."

Melissa McBride > "Scott, you can't kill off the main characters, especially Carol. Because if you do, one morning you'll wake up...and you won't be in your bed."

Would be such a waste if they did that now. The core group is what the show is all about.

Hey, this is tdoss' world. People cannot die unless their ripped to shreds although he thinks that cannot happen, so I am really confused now.
And here you go again...don't act above the fray...then dig in and throw my name around...then get offended when I call you out on it.My point of the grenade guy was more of the convenient nature that there's a grenade guy who gets through and this idiot shoots him over and over to explode the grenades and cause this upcoming battle between mayor turkey neck and Rick.

It's mad libs writing...if you just admitted it...people might stop ragging on this show as much.

But keep defending blindly and calling me out and I'll keep coming back here to tell you that your baby is ugly.

I would be all over the show if it DIDN'T have ridiculous things happening considering the show is based on the most ridiculous premise ever.

Some people very familiar with zombie culture (hahaha) know things that you others don't I guess.

It seems there is VERY little you like about this show.. So why do you continue to watch?? Just so you can take notes and complain here

Oh wait, you call me out as the public defender and I can't do the same? Sorry man, this isn't just your world. Also, if you hadn't noticed, they have been showing us so far that members only was kind of stupid and really had no idea how to deal with any walker situation. He admitted they effed up and got the other four killed. You can call it mad libs writing or you could just admit that you don't watch well. You miss all the clues they leave around. The guy acted stupid and even his ROTC ### got decked by Glenn after almost getting Tara killed before. If you didn't think he would do something stupid, that is on you. Bigbottom perfectly explained it, yet you change your point from it being stupid to have unexploded ordinance to it being stupid that the idiot shot a grenade (thank goodness we have Mythbusters or your would argue that shouldn't happen), yet anyone who disagrees with you is blindly defending the show.

Please follow your advice and admit that you are wrong on this one. It's OK.

Your schtick is really tired. It's either a weird passion of yours to watch and comment on a show that's beneath you (sad) or you get off on getting other people riled up (weird). Either way just shut up for one entire week between episodes. K thanks bye.

It's a show about zombies dude. The guy could've die in any way to set up the incoming conflict for the purposes of the story. He could've tripped on loose crap laying around, or the roof could've caved in, or he could've, you know, just been over-run by zombies. They decided to have him die by shooting a grenade that impaled him on some kind of rack where he was eaten alive. You know, for entertainment...because it's a TV show...about zombies.

I won't sit and pile on WD. I have just accepted it and as I have said before, I am watching due to being pot committed

Game of Thrones has dragons, magic and ogres and their writing is a lot better.

Zombies/entertainment is a convenient excuse imo

When they were in the warehouse, before preppy was eaten alive, he made a comment about Glenn has "done this before" or "knows what he is doing" or something to that effect. What was he referring to? That Glenn somehow manuevered the zombi.. er, walkers/rotters/biters/roamers/deadheads into that cage and away from them? Think I missed something there.
when they walked into the warehouse, they heard some rattling... glenn said somthing about it sounding like walkers who were trapped. how do you know? I don't. IIRC, when they walked by la cage aux zombie, preppy acknowledged glenn's minimals.

I thought it was about checking for other exits and ways out if the #### hits the fan, i.e. that is how Glenn knew not to go to the front of the warehouse even though the other guy did and thus got Noah killed. I think members only deferred to Glenn about the other exits and when they saw the walkers behind the fence that may have been when he said your comment above. I am going off memory here, but pretty sure that was what he was talking about.

Yep, my post above was wrong. I remember now, el floppo is right, it was about zombies being trapped and knowing that without ever seeing them.

Also when he told them to wait a couple of extra seconds after opening the door and making some noise. Zombies weren't always going to just pop out at you.

He was talking about Glenn hearing the zombies and deducing those inside were stuck behind something because they didn't come when he banged on the door.

(sound of walkers and rattling)

Glenn: They are stuck behind something.

Aiden: How do you know?

Glenn: I don't. But they aren't here.

(advance and find the walkers behind the fencing)

Glenn: Clear.

Aiden: Clear.

Aiden: You know your stuff.

previews are out

The no talking backpack girl is back and will give us a heavy dose of Carl. Looks like Darryl gets in some #### and more walkers with W carved in their dome.

You're in the minority of the people bothered by these things. Not sure if you've noticed.

I don't understand why Lori is carving W's in the heads of walkers. Why not an L?
Way too obvious. Lori's a sneaky #####.

Cannot wait for Sunday's episode. I watched last week's again and Noah's death still had me all
That really was a brutal scene. It reminded me of some old B horror movies that would do some extremely graphic gore but would only wind up looking cheesy. This looked incredibly realistic. So well done.

Realistic in terms of this is how it would look if a horde of zombies really did eat a dude stuck up against a revolving door?

Definitely. I wasn't so attached to Noah's character that I hated to see him go but his death was just so in our faces that it was impossible for me not to feel a true sense of loss with what happened to him. I think it was the most brutal death of a main character we've seen and having Glenn forced to watch it all added to its power. It was an incredibly well done scene.

Any thoughts about the situation with Abraham? He felt weak/faint when he was with the other people at that job site getting more steel. He leaned against a truck as if he was about to pass out or something.

A theory a co-worker has is that he's turning slowly into a walker from the time Sasha gashed him in the arm with tainted blood on her knife from a walker she stabbed, when the gang were throwing the walkers off the road and then Sasha went Rambo-like and cut Abraham.

As for last week's show, nice to see Eugene finally grow a pair......

I hope not as it would make absolutely no sense at all....yea, probably is happening

I didn't see it that way at all. I thought that he was just have PTSD type symptoms and not dealing with the transition to a normal life well and it was sort of overwhelming him. Soon as he could turn in berzerker mode, he was back in his good zone and revives. Sasha seems like she is 10 layers deeper into that moment right now and is on the edge of breaking.

This group did not need a useless priest, they needed a psychiatrist to keep them sane.

I agree, I never even thought that he is turning into a walker. I think that boat has sailed in terms of the time frame since that happened.
