*OFFICIAL* UnionHome Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl (2 Viewers)

Sorry I haven't been very active around here lately, but I've literally been too amped up to post in anticipation of this great annual event.

Who's playing again?

This will keep me busy a while.

For the past few months I've been trolling "Remember when..." groups from local towns with questions about whether or not people remember old movie plots.

i.e.

"Hey does anyone here remember when the town banned dancing and that young boy moved to town and dated the preachers daughter and taught everyone to dance?"

or

"Remember when that giant lizard came to town and crushed all the buildings?"

It's pretty good fun, but bowl game trolling is definitely where my heart is

There’s a Cheez-It Bowl now :lmao:

dont get me wrong I love Cheez-Its but :lmao:
This bowl has actually been around since 1989...just keeps changing sponsors though.  Originally it was named the Copper Bowl.  The last couple years, it has been the Cactus Bowl with varied sponsor names in front.  Kellogg's is the newest and current sponsor, and I guess they wanted to promote Cheez-its instead of corn flakes!  Sadly, it is being played in a baseball stadium, Chase Field, as its future and more permanent home, Sun Devil Stadium at Ariz. St, is undergoing renovations.

NOOOOOO!

(I had totally forgotten about Magic Jack)

@Brett_McMurphy: Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl is new name of Gasparilla Bowl. The bowl’s previous names:
magicJack Bowl
St. Petersburg Bowl presented by Beef O'Brady's
Beef O'Brady's Bowl
Bitcoin St. Petersburg Bowl
St. Petersburg Bowl
Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl

Honestly I think a 2-8 South Carolina is perfect for our favorite bowl.  I am guessing that Vanderbilt turned down the bid?

What does this mean for the Tournament of Hot Dogs?

Lord give me strength.
At least it isn't Coastal. I don't read the fansites, but I have to assume either the SEC strongly forced them too or they just really need the money. Glad Beamer will be able to observe the practices ahead of this embarrassment. Maybe it keeps some guys out of the portal.

Yeah, it appears that they are being forced to play. Bobo was asked yesterday if the players voted to play or not and he said that in the SEC there is no vote.
