I think I'm going to start a kickstarter campaign to just name it after me. First name only. My band will play at half time.

I mean of all the teams to seek out a rivalry with in the first place - Central Florida?!? And on top of it that juggernaut UCF disses it completely?

Oof - no wonder they could never get into the ACC.

Btw comments section of the article is top notch - never realized how ridiculous the Land Grant Trophy is.

Seriously - if the FFA or Shark Pool had created a thread dedicated to making the most ridiculous Intra-Conference rivalry and trophy to go with it we would not have been able to come up with something as bad as that.

I mean for cripes sake UConn was in a BCS Bowl just 4 years ago! (And with that talking point I have a new pointy stick to poke any Rutgers honks I come across in addition of course to the fact that even my Illini made a couple BCS Bowls over the last 10-15 years :pokey: )

UCONN vs Marshall! Who's into it!

UCONN football is one of those teams that is an automatic channel switch for me. They are the football equivalent of reading a Jim11 post. I wish their program would dissolve into the ether.

Instead of these fleabag bowls, football needs a version of the NIT just for teams such as this.

no other game is played on a field that looks like a dumpster fire just happened on it brohans so i salute this game and set my holiday travel based around it take that to the bank and i hope that they get pitbull again for half time this year brochacho

I live about 25 minutes from Storrs, even though I'm in Massachusetts (seriously, they sell UConn crap at the Cracker Barrel down the road from me).

I'm not above driving down there to see if they have any Beefs garb in the campus store.

They could at least rename it the ESPN Needs Content Bowl.

Twitter sez she is on the board of the Bowl still. She also has a photo on there with the dude from Moonshiners (who even does publicity events in his friggin' overalls)
