Not sure why she was complaining. She fell 2 steps after the shoulder.Rapinoe whipped on that play - simple shoulder contact
Press is inarguably a better player.Who singlehandedly scored all their goals in two knockout games. But yeah...horrible
Press is inarguably a better player.
That's not exactly true. Press is faster and has a much higher work rate. Rapinoe is without a doubt a better passer and finisher. She's also our best set piece taker. It comes down to what you want or need as a team. I think our team needs that speed personally, but Ellis would rather have the heavy foot and the set piece availability.Press is inarguably a better player.
Weak argument.Who singlehandedly scored all their goals in two knockout games. But yeah...horrible
A few poor passes/giveaways already from her. And lumbering down the field to totally not get to that one sweet cross. Painful.Rapinoe unfortunately not in sync with the rest of the squad. They are moving things nicely, great shape, but any time it goes out to the left, things fizzle out.
Lol. *Ok*Weak argument.
2. Pks. A fluky free kick. And a wide open net thanks to a nice setup. Don't you think Press/anyone could have scored the same goals? And probably minus the 8 or 9 turnovers each game.
Yeah. They gotta play her being the captain. But call off the lifetime achievement award sooner than later.I'm ok with Rapinoe in there now. But I will be disappointed if Press doesn't come in for her at halftime or shortly afterwards.
It's disingenuous to equate goals with great play is all I'm saying. I can't convince my wife of this either. So like her, I'll give up and agree with you. Rapinos the MVP.Lol. *Ok*
Nobody else scored those goals, but yeah ... you made a compelling point there about theoreticals.
I see what you did...I’ve seen it so much in soccer over the years. The better tea owns possession all game. But the opposition gets one great pass/run for a goal and wins. This feels like one of those games so far.
It’s the championship game. I’d go all out. Wooden shoe?Netherlands playing better than expected?
Hyperbole and imposing opinions on other people is also a good way of winning arguments. It's disingenuous to equate goals with great play is all I'm saying. I can't convince my wife of this either. So like her, I'll give up and agree with you. Rapinos the MVP.
You should be deported.I don't know what it is but I don't like this US team. Maybe it's their cockiness. Wouldn't mind seeing the Dutch score first to make this interesting.
Not IMO - a different shape is causing the issue - like I said it's tight. US just has to take their time to unlock it. The Dutch haven't had a good possession at allNetherlands playing better than expected?
I don't think so. This has been one of the more lopsided 0-0 games I've seen in a while.Netherlands playing better than expected?
She's terrible.I’d like to see Morgan get more involved in the center of the field.
Apologies. I just disagree (obviously).Hyperbole and imposing opinions on other people is also a good way of winning arguments.
Would have been interesting if she played a little stronger on that ball - ref might have had to make the call.I’d like to see Morgan get more involved in the center of the field.
They're playing to counter, and doing it well. Us is on the front foot but don't seem to be worrying the GK...I don't think so. This has been one of the more lopsided 0-0 games I've seen in a while.
Clean shoulder, but just far enough away from the ball it could've been. Probably doesn't help Morgan is on the ground a lot.Uh, that's a penalty.
Yep. That Dutch GK is a beast. Go Oranje! They're playing to counter, and doing it well. Us is on the front foot but don't seem to be worrying the GK...
Lol...until there...!
.
What on earth? Where in the hell did that come from? LOLZThe Dutch haven’t mounted much of an attack. I think Beerensteyn bears some responsibility.
