*** Official Vikings - History Channel*** (1 Viewer)

After opening the scope of the show so much more in Season 2 and making the series feel that much more epic, what can you say about what you want to explore with Season 3? Will it be even bigger?

HIRST: Yeah, we’re gonna attack Paris. Paris was the most extraordinary city. It was still a Roman city, and it was like nothing else on earth. We’re just building that, at the moment, on the backlot. It will also be CGI. Ragnar attacked Paris with one hundred ships. We just get bigger and better, I think.

Did you all know there is an uncensored version for Europe/Australia? BOOBIES!!

ETA: no Lagethra (sp?). :sadbanana:
wait WHAT?does it show the new Princess - Ragnars newest?

What about Rollo's old lady?

How about the English princess slut?
I've seen ragnar's princess, Bjorn's woman and Floki's woman. I stumbled across this by accident. I've seen screen caps. Not sure where you can get video; haven't looked yet.

ETA: it looks like the Blu-Rays are uncensored and uncut.

Good episode last night. Looking forward to season three
Agreed. It was a solid finale. I was glad Flocki didn't flip and that they didn't kill anyone of importance off except for the king.

At first I was thinking Flocki was a creep spying on Bjorn, but it made sense that he was looking after him knowing that those guys were going to attack.

Floki really had me fooled, I was glad to see he stuck with Ragnar. I loved how the king saw all the people he'd recruited show up against him and realize he was screwed.

Great episode, great season, great show.

Great end to the season. Glad Floki stuck by Ragnar but he still weirds me out. Looking forward to next season.

Great Finale to a great season

Based on what I've read next year should be "bigger" as History channel realizes they have a big show going here and are going too add more money to the production..

Just in case people don't want to know..

In a recent interview, creator of the show Michael Hirst said that fans can expect to see the vikings attack Paris in Season 3. The show is also gaining more attention and resources. The second season averaged 3.4 million total viewers and bumped up the channel to a number one spot during the 10 p.m. slot on Thursdays. The show went from having two ships in Season 1 to eight ships in Season 2 to over 100 ships in Season 3.. :excited:

I can't believe Ragnar let the son live.
could be a hostage type thing to keep people loyal to the king in line.

We didnt really see what happened to Rollo either, were the guys walking his pad on ragnars or the kings men?

BTW, how does Winnick not have her own thread in the FFA, simply stunning

Rollo was in the background during the king's execution scene.
was he? missed that
Right after his girlfriend hands Ragnar the dagger you see him lurking in the background.

Ragnar plays a deep game. Even if he only has 1 scene in which he has dialog.

This season of Vikings was better than the current Game Of Thrones season has been so far.

Love the show, loved this season, sad to have to wait for season 3.

Is it just me or does Siggy remind anyone else of pronstar Rachel Roxxx. She kind of plays that dirty role too in the show.

I don't know about that. I keep waiting for her to fully turn on Ragnar and his family and it keeps not happening.

If the King didn't use her as a hooker for his son I think Siggy might have been turnable, but she loathed him after that.

True. Which reminds me, Horick was a pretty lousy king.

Those looks and can protect me too!

Canadian-born Katheryn Winnick stars in The History Channel's breakout cable TV series, Vikings (2013), now in its second season. Her role as "Lagertha" garnered her a nomination in the "Best Performance by a Lead Dramatic Actress" category at the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards.

Katheryn is an accomplished martial artist, she received her first Black Belt at the ripe old age of 13. After competing in the Canadian Nationals, she proceeded to open several highly-successful Tae Kwon Do schools in and around Toronto. She later trained to become a licensed bodyguard and currently holds a third-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, along with a second-degree Black Belt in Karate.

So she could probably kick the crud out of the entire rest of the cast in real life too. Awesome.

he was a similarly good but ultimetly bad guy on copper to he is a good actor but it is like they always kill his rear end and you know what he always does such a good job being a scum bag that you are happy when they kill him but then you realize that the reason you are happy is beecause he was doing a boss job with his role so hey funny how that works out that is a little joke on us by the universe and karma i guess brohans take that to the bank

Donal Logue is a fairly decent actor, but his shelf life on any TV show is about 1 season.
I like him as an actor but he seemed miscast in this show, especially with everyone one else being relatively unknown.

Great ending to a great season. Looking forward to season 3.

What did Floki give Rollo to eat?

Some kind of shrooms.
I think it was meant to look as if he was poisoning him with the shrooms, but he killed the other guy with them.

IIRC, he didn't kill anyone with the shrooms.

yeah, you're right. It was all part of the trap.

Just finished season 2. Glad it is getting more love to boost the production. Some of the fight scenes seemed unrealistic. 30 warriors while Vikings wouldn't be able to take over a guarded city.

Ragnar should of had King Horik killed when he was told to tell Jarl Borg not to raid. He should have known Borg was not going to just sit back while his land was unprotected.

So how did that guy die? Maybe I missed something

He didn't. His death was staged. He was the guy in the room with the hood on when King Horik expected to slay Ragnar.

Season 3 starts next Thursday.

I like the mini recap episodes they've been showing. Athelstan's Journal.

Good way to get caught up on previous seasons

Awesome show and I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who thinks it's better than Game of Thrones.

Anyone know when season 4 begins?

I still like the show and will be watching. My wife bailed early on last year and can't blame her- last season wasn't that good.

No specific release date apparently, their site just says 2016.

Agreed. Very unfocused and the writing/acting was poor in comparison to previous seasons. Ragnar is still a great character, they need to feature him moreso than they did last season.

Not sure if anyone is watching, but The Last Kingdom on BBC America is Vikings light with more historical relevance. I recommend it if you like this kind of history.
