***OFFICIAL*** Vikings vs Seahawks NFC Playoff Game Thread (1 Viewer)

I seem to recall when the Vikings first moved into TCF Bank Stadium temporarily they were on the shady side of the field so they didn't have to look into the sun. Does anyone remember? I figured they'd take the sunny side today. Big difference being in the sun.

as long as they don't pretend that player safety is important. certainly not a safe environment to play, but i guess im not tough like you real men in here.
What is inherently dangerous about playing in the cold? You're reaching.
FrostbiteHypothermia
No
lol you
Why? It's not like they are swimming in this weather. They are running around.
Also, field is heated underneath and there are heated benches and helmet warmers on the sidelines. Players will have no problem. The fans may if they didn't dress appropriately but that's their own fault if they didn't dress accordingly.
Exactly. I don't see why that's so hard to comprehend.

Love watching refs come running in to spot the ball in a straight line, then move when they get up to the ball
Thought the same thing. Not sure why we haven't gone computer chip in the ball, with electronic frackers on the field? It's 2016. I thought about that ten years ago. Get with it NFL.

Just because they are mitigating the risk with warm clothes and heaters doesn't mean the risk isn't real in the first place.

We've still probably got 5-8 years until electronic frackers are in common use
That's stupid. The NFL is a billion dollar+ Industry, Apple can probably have a prototype ready in a couple weeks if asked.

It is used in soccer already

"You dont stay warm, Bud Grant told Adam Kilgore of the Washington Post. Youre cold. So what? We never had anybody who froze to death playing football. You probably had somebody who died from heat stroke playing football.

Not probably definitely. Vikings tackle Korey Stringer died of heat exhaustion after a training-camp practice in 2001.

The hardest thing will be for the fans, Grant added. Theres not enough schnapps and blackberry brandy to keep them warm.

Yes and no. Used for goals but not offsides.

Not a Battlestar Galactica fan I see. You said "frackers" instead of "trackers".

Don't forget about the heating system for the field. Oh the humanity.

Tracker in the ball can't help for offsides, would have to put it in everyone's boots.
