So apparently some brawl went down at a Waffle House between the restaurant staff and a group of unruly patrons. There is plenty of video with one female staff member who is the absolute star of the videos and the tweets have me rolling.


At one point she throws a vicious combo of upper cuts and hooks to a girls head and then at another point she uses one arm to deflect a chair thrown at her like swatting a fly. There is also a still shot of a patron holding a chair up and the girl is beckoning for them to bring it with a grin on her face.

I was curious why Waffle House was trending. I figured it was a fight. But after going down the rabbit hole, watching various clips, I’ve come to the conclusion that this was no fight.

This was the global coronation of a new superhero. “Waffle House Girl.”

reminds me of the old video we enjoyed where the young kid in the striped shirt took on like 3 or 4 guys in a pizza shop...
 
How humiliating for the culture. Bless those WH employees. The employees held off the undesirables.

Tip, jumping on the counter will not get your waffles to you faster.

The fat chick jumps on the counter, get pelted with condiments, belly flops off to the floor and then gets her face punched in by the little server. Watched it 3 times it is hysterical!
 
Nice skills by that young lady, but as an old fart restaurant worker, man, that makes my heart skip a beat.

Didn't see how this all started and escalated. Obviously, whatever it was , it was stupid. A fight that doesn't involve major stupidity on both parts is very rare.

Without good context, It did seem like Wonder Woman launching sugar shakers (I think) at the bar jumper might have been what really set this off. Sugar shaker launching got progressively towards the door, so I wonder if some of the aggrieved customers might have even been leaving (obviously don't know).

But that seems to have directly led to the poorly executed attempt to jump over the counter.

And nice speed on those upper cuts, but they were delivered to a person that was dazed from falling off a counter and then being held by somebody else. Just sayin'

Which led to the flinging of the steel chairs across the restaurant. Nice blocking of the chair, but one chair leg being one inch in a different spot, and we are having a very different conversation.

Just old fart spitballing. All I could think watching this fiasco was how all these kids Mama's just really wanted them to come home from a shift working or a night out at the Waffle House, and that almost didn't happen.

Sort of curious to know what got it started, but it doesn't matter. It was all stupidity. Start of the video made it seem like there was enough to call the police, but it's hard to tell.

Another old fart thought. There's 2 dozen people that pulled out their cell phone to film and upload to Tik-Tac or Tweeter or FaceChat. Did none of these people think to use the phone to call the police?

Sorry, one more old fart tangent.

That girl does have some skills. Good chance those were taught to her by somebody that loved her. Most likely hoping she could defend herself in this world.

We don't know what started this, but those upper cuts were thrown on someone that came at her after a major act of aggression (throwing glass salt shakers), then after that fell off a counter and was held back by somebody else. Best I could tell she was throwing blows to a dazed, constrained, defenseless woman. Maybe an idiot that started it, but still very much dazed, constrained, and defenseless.

Anyway, whoever loved her enough to help her learn this skill, I doubt this was the scenario they were training her for (unless that person is just an idiot that knows how to fight, which is plausible).

Just watched the video again, The older lady behind the counter had the frying pan locked and loaded to bash the fat chick before she fell down, then she threw the pan at the other one. Never give up your weapon. the WF employees were like Ukraine vs Russia. They beat down the bullies.

What started it was the table in the corner with the fat women were complaining that it was taking too long for their food and getting loud. If you watch the woman jumped and started walking on the counter first before anything happened. It was after that the employee threw the sugar at her.

Tip: Much easier to call manager over and ask if your food is coming soon. No No: Don`t stand and yell from your table at servers and then jump on the counter demanding your food.

As you see the other customers seemed to enjoy the fiasco and probably got out without having to pay their tabs too.
 
Anyone ever see the Black Mirror episode with Bryce Dallas Howard where everything is based on some sort of social merit score or whatever? As much as I would hate that, it's better than what we are becoming (or have become actually)
 
Waffle house girl should be on every late night talk show next week.
Unfortunately, several of those employees will end up shot or stabbed in the coming weeks. Talk about a target. It would be in their best interest to quit immediately.
 
Tik tok and Twitter are full of videos of like this, with fast food encounters between employees and customers. It seems, since Covid, the number of Chads and Karens have multiplied 10x. Way too many people think they have the right to be rude to these workers, who are just trying to earn some scratch to get by. I know one of the restaurants by us has a sign on the door about staff shortages and encouraging patrons to be kind to the people that actually showed up to work.

The swatting of the chair is unbelievable. When someone throws a chair at you, every instinct in your body tells you to turn away and protect your face. Not Waffle House Haley. She looks straight ahead and doesn’t even flinch.

And after watching this for the 10th time I just noticed that she was holding a pan in her right hand - and didn’t even drop it.

Calling the police doesn’t get near the internet cred that their video did. It’s all about views and likes now.
