And apparently several teams are interested in Jeremy Chinn so we may lose him.

I don't know, that feels like Peters chasing a sunk cost to me.I'm guessing they're thinking "good player will respond to good coaching on a good team" since Peters drafted him.Javon Kinlaw 3/45 is a headscratcher. Kinlaw has been a huge bust so far and is a substantial downgrade from Jonathan Allen. I'd be shocked if he proved to be a better player than Jer'Zhan Newton.
General manager Adam Peters was with the San Francisco 49ers when Kinlaw was drafted with the 14th overall pick in the 2020 draft.
Dyami Brown signed by the Jaguars. 1 year, 10 million.Dante Fowler Jr. and Dyami Brown sound like they got no offers or offers that were low.
LOL what is Houston doingLaremy Tunsil.
Don't know what years the picks are in yet.TRADE: Texans trading LT Laremy Tunsil and a fourth-round pick to the Commanders for second, third and fourth-round picks.
A second and a third is a "pick haul"?Blockbuster trade: The Texans are finalizing a trade of five-time Pro Bowl LT Laremy Tunsil to the Commanders, sources say. A huge addition for Washington, as Houston gets a draft pick haul.Bluesky

The penalties are definitely a coaching issue. That can be correctedIf we can just coach that false start thing out of him this was a steal.
False starts were a long Redskin tradition under Dan Snyder. If we can just coach that false start thing out of him this was a steal.
Agree with all you've said. Allen's been through a lot of adversity both in his childhood and his adult life. I hope he does well on and off the field.Jonathan Allen reportedly done deal with Vikings.
Was wishfully hoping he wouldn't find a satisfactory suitor for his services on the open market, and we'd be able to come to an agreement to bring him back.
He labored so long here, and classily so, under the duress of the Snyder regime; deserves to reap the fruit of what's being sown in the new era.
Best of luck to JA. All honor to his name.
Would he be considered an upgrade, downgrade, or about the same talent wise? I hope he is better in the run game than Chinn was..."John Keim

Washington has signed S Will Harris to a two-year deal, source confirms. The Commanders needed to bolster the secondary after losing Jeremy Chinn to the Raiders."
From what I've read he's considered a downgrade. I don't even know who he is.Would he be considered an upgrade, downgrade, or about the same talent wise? I hope he is better in the run game than Chinn was..."John Keim

In my younger years, I never thought I'd reach the point where I couldn't name everyone on the team. But, as life goes, I reached that point many years ago. When my sons text me who we've signed or traded for, my first thought is, "Who is that? Is he good?"I don't even know who he is.
Ask @BobbyLayne or any Detroit Lions fan...Will Harris is a downgrade. Neither of us knew he was still in the league. I couldn't believe how many snaps he used to get here.Would he be considered an upgrade, downgrade, or about the same talent wise? I hope he is better in the run game than Chinn was..."John Keim

"Lousy fielder but he can't hit", huh?Well he can’t cover or tackle - career passer rating of 111.2 & miss tackle % of 10.5%
but coaches love his versatility
he actually played decent last year for the Saints, across the board low 60s in all his PFF grades
60 is replacement level starter
Just came here to post that. I liked him in his limited use last year. He played hard and ran hard.Commanders re-sign running back Jeremy McNichols - I like McNichols, good signing I suppose but I hope this doesn't preclude us from taking a RB at some point during the draft.
Good riddance, he was AWFUL
Then came last season’s stunning 7-2 start with Daniels soaring among the elite quarterbacks. Washington’s 12-win regular season and playoff run to the NFC Championship Game raised expectations and led to outside calls for all sorts of acquisitions this cycle. The Commanders had significant salary-cap space to tackle three primary needs: offensive playmaker, edge defender and tackle.
The Jets claimed Davis off of waivers from the Vikings at the end of December and he did not appear in a game for the team. He joined the Vikings after being released by the Commanders earlier in the season and had five tackles and a sack in four games with Minnesota.
I'm fine resigning Brown, he's cheap, but why Osborn?WR Noah Brown re-signed for $4.5 million
OL Michael Dieter re-signed also for 1 year.
Brown was decent last year. Dieter was awful.
