I like that first pick. One thing the media fails to mention enough is depth. If at this point OL is an above average group, losing any starter really degrades that unit to below average. There's not much depth. Conerly provides depth, starter talent, and perhaps allows Coleman to move inside. It's not ony protecting Daniels. It's opening better holes for a medicre RB room.
You can plan ways to cover up other problems (RB by having a better OL. CB by having a better DL/LB group). But if you don't have depth at what covers up those problems, things can get ugly really quickly.
So ... I love the BPA approach Peters takes. It's thankfully not a 1 year plan.
