Hey Cappy, what team did you grow up being a fan of?Or have you been a D-Rays fan all of your life?
huh? are you actually blaming me for not being a rays fan before their inception? :blackdot:
Huh? are you actually not answering the question?
I wasn't really a fan of any team, just of the game. I guess I had a slight passing interest in the Mets and Cards, since they trained in St. Pete, but I wouldn't have called myself a real fan of either team.

Actually that is a good question by LD. :lmao:
Not really. There was no team I "loved" like he did the Cubs.
:wall:
:lmao: You've said a few times you were a huge Cubs fan.

And I'm sure the '85 Cards were just a passing fancy in the life of a young Cappy. At least until the '86 Mets came along. But hey, those '87 Cards probably won you right back.

What part of "I wasn't really a fan of either team" did you struggle with exactly?

A lot of it.Every kid had a favorite team growing up. If not, they took frisbee golf classes in the summer and made pictures of Beethoven to adorn thier disc with

Oh come on, that was pretty funny.

Anyway, I'll be pissed if Reinsdorf and his "philosophy" of not giving pitchers 4+ year contracts costs them Buerhle. Your in chicago ######, and the stadium is filled almost every day. MB is a proven workhorse, and while he isn't a true #1, he is damn close on most days. Don't play the poor ******* card...*******...I'll chip in a grand or so to keep him around... :wall:

I don't get why this team hasn't been broken up yet. It really makes no sense to me.
If he plans to dismantle the team, I'm sure he can pry better prospects away from other teams closer to the trading deadline. That's my thinking anyway.

Sad times when sweeping the DRays makes your season.

At least Limp can be a White Sox fan again, for a few days at least.

Again?Link to me stopping in the first place.
You stop rooting for teams when they suck. The White Sox suck.
As a Rays fan, do you need me to explain the concept of first place to you?
:) No, I don't need a bandwagon fan of a team that waited almost 90 years to win a title to explain first-place to me. I'll go talk to a team with a little more success than that, in that case.
