So I downloaded the player lists from WIS, went through and deleted all ineligible players - HOFers, recent guys, too old guys, and ineligibles - and had it all sorted and color coded and highlighted and everything.

I just figured out that at some point I accidentally deleted everybody with an OPS between .987 and .707. FML.

FML.

I spent about an hour and a half sorting my hitters on Excel last night, had everything broken out into nice tabs by position and cleared the first 150 lines or so of the ineligibles. Come downstairs this morning, no file. Turns out I saved it into the zip archive and then didn't save the updated archive. FML.

Try to walk in on your new boss a lot. Take a look at his/her computer as often as possible. See if he/she is hitting ALT+TAB a ton as you walk up.Some work places are basically Internet free-for-alls. You never know ... you mighta lucked out

rookie mistake

I'm pretty sure my rookie mistake was taking Don Mattingly in round 3. Sadly, I've got no rookie excuse when it comes to Excel.
