***Official WIS Sim XIII Draft Thread - The HoVG (2 Viewers)

Me thinks the future of FBGs WIS is smaller leagues.
what does WIS allow?
30 teams (current MLB setup... 5-5-4, 5-6-5 with wild cards)28 teams (similar to current setup, can't remember how)24 teams (6x4 with wild cards)20 teams (10x2) - not a fun format20 teams (5x4) - better, but no wild card16 teams (4x4)- no wild card 12 teams (6x2)- no wild cardthere may also be a 26-teamer, I'm not sure

I believe any format that MLB has ever used is in there, so the 26-teamer would be the way it was in the 1980s - a 12-team league and 14-team league with no wildcards.I agree with Mr.P - the 16 team 4x4 is probably the future.

A shame there is no WC at all. Would suck to be the second best team by a good margin, only to be rolled by a WIS juggarnaut. But thems the breaks I suppose.Either way, for anyone interested Ill try to be in Live at some point tonight during MNF

Hall of Lame team will be in TONIGHT.

Thanks to my buddy Norwood for taking the other team. Sorry my innings were short.

WIS admin booted tulsaslide. Still need Bogart's HoL team to enter.

If one more owner wants in, we can have a SimLive Division in either league -- Koya, DD, Spartans, Mr.Phx, SCBF, Shakes II, Greco and ???. The Grecospeare teams will be split obviously.

If Norwood is managing BoNor exclusively, I see no reason to split them, leaving the two Doug B teams as the only ones that have to be separated.

I'll be offline most of Wednesday, but I'd like to be able to do final league setup tomorrow night.

Pool teams: AoD, DD, Koya, MrPhx, SCBF, Spartans

Next post, I'll roll d100 for each of the pool teams and assign them to div slots in 1-6 in order (low-high). 7th and final roll will determine whether Div#1 is NL (even) or AL/PL (odd).

Everybody is in except for Pumpnick. Some other WIS guy has entered a team w/ $200+M in salary and three pre-1893 players. I've asked him via WIS site mail to withdraw his team. I'll give him a day and then ask WIS Admin to boot him.

If anybody has Pump contact info, please nag him to enter his team as soon as bigpapi2003's team is gone. And pick a ##### stadium.

For my HoL I went with the Washington Senator's first stadium. It was pretty equal across the board, and just felt right.

With my last 4 picks, I went with one more pitcher which gave my team every pitcher that we mentioned. For about half of my staff, I went with near bottom of their career years as far as innings go just to keep salaries in check. Did not seem fair to have every guy on my staff at 9 million plus, just because they could go 400 innings.

i think you'd want a 2nd catcher, plus another "big stick" (OF/1B sort of guy).suggest Ray Schalk for catcher, and LLoyd Waner (though a small stick) or Earle Combs or Chick Hafey in the OF
