***OFFICIAL WIS XII DRAFT THREAD*** (2 Viewers)

I don't even know what a standard WIS draft is. Maybe our salary cap version but we've had leagues where a staff WHIP of 1.2 is good, and WIS like this where .98 is average. I don't think people are going to like having a guy with a 1 WHIP getting shelled but I see that happening as pitching will likely be hard to predict with all these hitters.
Even some elite guys disappoint at times. Eric Gagne and Dean Chance are two that have turned in multiple mystifyingly bad performances in this thing. And then there's the batters. Tony Gwynn has several detractors among our drafters.

#### YOU GWYNN!

Could be some interesting post draft trades as well - batters and pitchers that may have one weakness but that weakness plus the wrong ballpark could = disaster.

Final Stadium pick:

1999 - Safco Field

I don't think I can slug it out with most of the teams, so hopefully my pitching can keep me in the boring games at home.

This will all be balanced out by my crappy bull pen and terrible D. :kicksrock:

how has Pink Hawley been?

:brush:
You'll be the first to find out.
In 16 seasons according to WIS Performance History, Hawley has averaged an ERA of 3.93 and a WHIP of 1.42 in 534 innings. Those numbers I believe are in the regular, $80 mil salary cap leagues I think. Not the unlimited cap league we have here.
If i started looking at that stuff I'd drive myself mad. I can see Pink will stink from his peripherals.

So all three in the stink, and no pink?

I know this isn't the "cookie" year, but I need the A/A defense. 4th OF drafted for me. He will probably start.

Virgil Trucks 1949.

4BB/9 is good right?

Long Reliever with some really nice numbers. Oh, except he gives up a walk every other inning and a WHIP that reflects that. Even so, will eat some innings and has some spot opportunities where a walk wont hurt but a hit will (very good OAV+)

No one ahead of me can take him, so...

15.23 Ernie Shore, SP

Half of a good SP, at least by my sad standards.

In theory, I'd like to have a 3-man rotation one trip though, then a 4-man rotation the next trip though. But that would require checking my team every day, which ain't happening. He'll probably get lost on my bench.
