the theme league stuff is a lot more robust nowWhat should the "Allow Injuries" setting be? yes or no? Do they have multigame injuries now?>
If we allow injuries, we will also need to allow a redraft or like 3 additional rounds seeing as some of us have only one eligible player at certain positions because we drafted accordingly. :coffee:
I agreeThis is why I am trying to figure out what it should beI don't want multigame injuriesI guess "NO" is the safest

FYI, all injuries are only within the game being played. They are just a way to keep people from playing fatigued players... and the occasional bad luck if a guy at/near 100% stamina gets hurt. I don't think they need to be on here though.

So what's the deal? I need a full roster to set it up,correct? But y'all can pick players and then dump it back to the draft center?
I am not sure of the details to be honest - but we have done it at least once before with 3+ rounds to go. Two options - we figure out who set it up before and ask them, or Pump jumps right in and finds out.50 bucks baby! (I wont even hold him to that if he efforts to set the ####er up)
I'll pay as long as there is a set time, set amount of teams, and seeding

Usually we upload the players we've picked, then fill the rest of the roster with garbage that no one in their right mind would pick. As the picks come in, we can exit the league and rejoin. Just don't start the season until the draft is done. That way, our rosters are loaded and we can play with the players we have to kind of get a feel of how the season is going to be. Usually, we play long enough before the season to get koya thinking suicidal thoughts because of his team. It's a blast!
Hey buddy, Im three WS appearances and two WS rings ahead of you.RESPECT.
Once again, I try to make someone's life easier and in the end, I make it harder. FML.

Been waiting for this pick. Was one of the big reasons I parted with Davey Johnson's power at 2B. Not sure what to do with my current 3B option who is D/C- defense, but a .470 OBP with some extra base hit potential is going to be tough to ignore totally. I might actually use this pick in the OF at times, or dare I say at 2B if I really want some pop. Not sure to be honest but no way Im passing up on who will be my 2nd best offensive player for 2/3's of the season.

Matt Williams, 3B

I remember trading you that season in a previous sim.

Working out an exact line-up is going to be a bit tricky, so this is just a rough idea:

Code:
Pos Name---------H---------AVE/OBP/SLG-----F/R/*** Hanley Ramirez R ----- .301/.400/.540 -- B/B3B John McGraw L -------- .391/.547/.446 -- C+/C-	OF Frank Robinson R ----- .342/.421/.624 -- A/C+1B Ripper Collins S ----- .333/.393/.615 -- B-/DOF Bobby Murcer L ------- .331/.427/.543 -- B+/B+OF Mickey Mantle S ------ .275/.399/.558 -- A/B+C Bill Dickey L --------- .351/.445/.492 -- A/B-/B 2B Davey Johnson R ------ .270/.370/.546 -- C/A-C Elston Howard R ------- .287/.342/.528 -- A/A/A+3B George Kell R -------- .343/.424/.467 -- A/B+3B Gary Sheffield R ----- .330/.385/.580 -- B+/BOF Tom Brown L ---------- .240/.319/.323 -- D-/A (95 speed, pinch base runner)Pos - Name ---------T------IP-----ERA/OAV/WHIPSP1 - Don Drysdale R ---- 322 -- 2.18/.207/0.96	SP2 - Howie Camnitz R --- 302 -- 1.62/.211/0.97 SP3 - Catfish Hunter R -- 319 -- 2.49/.229/0.99SP4 - Harry Brecheen L -- 246 -- 2.24/.222/1.04	LR --- Eppa Rixey L ----- 304 -- 1.85/.229/1.09MR -- Art Fowler R ------ 90 -- 2.42/.219/1.00 CL --- Tim Burke R ------ 91 -- 1.19/.196/0.89
A nice line-up, only really lacking a quality lead off OBP guy (McGraw could do it but with only 590 PAs is less than ideal). Hopefully that will be less of problem playing in Candlestick though as it has a -1 to 1B but is neutral for slugging. The pitching is pretty solid but just lacks that standout ace at the top. The bullpen needs improvement but we'll see what we can get I guess. Overall I am pretty happy, especially considering 10 of the 19 players were traded for/picked from year that was traded for.

Used this season before in WIS II (just like Grich) ... excellent results.Oddly, I've used bad defense at 3B a few times (also one of Wade Boggs' years with D+/C defense) ... doesn't seem to hurt much.

I don't recall. Which one? It's a sick 2/3's of a season. My only good roll for the final five, but its a hell of an addition. I went from no righty power to Big Mac, Jim Rice and Matt Williams in the heart of the lineup (and gave up Davey Johnson as my preference is to have a .440 OBP at the top of the lineup with Myer to get on base for the big boppers, plus Vern Stephens gets me most of those HRs with more OBP at SS, also a righty). Along with Tommy Holmes (really good plus numbers for XBH's and leading the league in HRs with only 9 Ks or something? nice 2/3 hitter, or possible put him in between two of the righty sluggers), Francona's 144 AVG+ the lineup should fare well in Fenway. For non hr parks / pitchers, Joyce's .333/.470./.518 stands in nice for Williams. Earl Averill is a bit of a wild card. Decent numbers all around from the right side of the plate with a lot of XBHs - maybe he plays instead of Francona against lefties and/or at Fenway.

God you guys are addicts.
You can watch. However, the only drinks available at the concession stands will be Koya's Angel Dust Iced Tea, "liquid yayo", and Red Bull Cola (which also contains yayo).
I'd play, but I don't even have a team yet.
Yet? :lmao:
Tell TU to stop calling me from his pocket.
maybe he is just stalking. I understand you two met up a couple weeks back. He was gushing about meeting the T.R.E.

Looking for good relievers or years left with good relievers in them, especially looking for a lights out closer (I know, isn't everybody?). 3B George Kell 1949 and SP Eppa Rixey 1916 on the block, possibly more depending on what is offerd.
I've got a couple good reliever years, plus a few relievers on my roster... let me know if any interest you...any/all could be had for the right price...

Can I interest you in 1900 Roy Thomas or 1894 Tuck Turner? Too many OFers in hand.

It was the split deadball/steroid sim I think. I drafted Williams and then got a surprise late value at 3B so I dealt him.

LB, if we have the same defination of good reliever, check out my team and years left. Could part with Joyce (but would need a platoon 3B in return, and it would still be tough to part). Have some solid bench guys as well at different positions.

Lineup is as follows:

(PA / AB/HR / AVG / OBP / SLG

1. 2B 1935 Buddy Myer.......... L 763 123. .349 .440 .468 B/B - 125 AVG+ and that OPB should be a good table setter.

2. OF 1959 Tito Francona........ L 467 20.0 .363 .414 .566 C/B - 144 AVG+ and 147 SLG+. Makes contact and should get on base often at Fenway.

3. OF 1945 Tommy Holmes..... L 760 22.7 .352 .420 .577 B/C - 133 AVG+ and 159 SLG+ with good OBP and no K's. Perfect 3 Hitter.

4. 1B 1998 Mark McGwire....... R 681 07.3 .299 .470 .752 B/A- Stupid Power and Stupid OBP. May hit 3rd at times.

5. 3B 1995 Matt Williams........ R 358 12.3 .336 .399 .647 B/A+ - 127 AVG+ and 159 SLG+ Maybe starts half and D replacement for Joyce in others.

6. OF 1978 Jim Rice ...............R 742 14.7 .315 .370 .600 A-/C - 120 AVG+ and 156 SLG+ Should love the green monster like he did in real life

7. SS 1949 Vern Stephens..... R 748 15.6 .290 .391 .539 B/C+ - Decent Avg, Decent OBP and A HR every 15.6 ABs? In Fenway? Nice from a SS

8. OC 1899 Ed McFarland........R 396 162. .333 .403 .475 D+/C - 7 Doubles/100+ and over 10 XBH's will be workable as a platoon in fenway.

PH 1957 Bob Hazle................ L 164 19.1 .403 .477 .649 D-/D- It was a risk, but Im glad I did it. Better OF's were there much later. .400 and some pop.

Platoon Guys:

OF. 1931 Earl Averill.............. L 738 19.6 .333 .404 .576 B-/B - Will replace Francona as a slight D upgrade. Tons of XBH's. Could start and bat 6th.

3B 1896 Bill Joyce............... L 36.5 .333 .470 .518 D/C- What do I do? .470 OBP and 134 SLG+ is hard to sit. Perfect #2 hitter. Trade bait? Dunno.

Some tough choices along the way. Hate parting with Davey's power, but the OBP at the top was needed I felt, even if I loved more sluggers row - just too often you see those guys shut down by some pitching. Want guys on base for the heart of the order. Tough to pitch around Big Mac - either Williams' overall power bat, or maybe even Holmes great overall hitting behind him.

I thought our line-up was quite good, but that one is just way better. And even worse I know there are probably other teams with better hitting than Koya too.

Big Mac was huge, and Williams so late was really big. I didnt feel like I had that many good years, certainly not great ones but it was not dreadful. I really went best player available for most of the draft, and tried to hold out on OF's when I could. Even so, took Holmes in the first in a pretty weak year, and Francona not long after. Had I gone OF instead of Hazle, I'd have a guy wasting on the bench.Again, great strategy involved in this draft, just not sure how the playing field will even out with the rolls. As you note, there are likely lineups that are considerably better than mine. I have a core of very good players, one stud in Big Mac, but some teams have 3-4 studs it seems.

Id definately trade for Sosa and have some nice options in OF to replace him if you'd want in a combo deal. Need a 3B (Joyce)?
