Arky Vaughan SS pirates

Metropolitan stadium in Minnesota

On my phone please pm next for me
Frack. Arky was my #1 target with a bullet with 2.12.
I call bs. He was my pick if he slid and I'm the only one to have corresponded with gotten a restraining order from his damn family.
Fixed
Actually very nicely worded letters appreciating my support for their great grandfather and, atte times, wishes to see name kept alive to get him ( and eventually successful path) into the hall.

2.12- OF Harry Heilmann, Detroit Tigers

During the summer of 1950, former teammate Ty Cobb launched a campaign to elect Heilmann to the Baseball Hall of Fame before he succumbed to cancer. Despite Cobb’s campaign, Heilmann fell short in the 1951 Hall of Fame voting, after being named on 67.7 percent of the ballots.

Heilmann died on July 9, 1951 – two days before the All Star Game was played in Detroit. Shortly after Heilmann’s death Time magazine published an article on Cobb’s campaign for his former teammate. “Recently, hearing that Heilmann was seriously ill, Cobb wrote to several of his baseball-writer friends, urging them not to bypass Harry in this year's selections. Last week, New York Times Columnist Arthur Daley printed part of Cobb's letter, agreed that Heilmann's election was long overdue. The appeal came too late. At last week's All-Star game in Detroit, 50,000 fans stood and observed a moment of silence. The day before, Harry Heilmann, 56, had died of cancer in Detroit.”[10] Heilmann was elected to the Hall of Fame along with Paul Waner, six months later in January 1952, after being named on 87 percent of the ballots.

HOF plaque

stadium: Royals Stadium (of course)
Oso, that's the stadium I was slated to pick, but since Eeph hadn't picked his, I was holding out.
Karma from previous sims
What Karma? It's no clock, I was waiting on you and was slated to pick the stadium. I'd think since you were essentially OTC that I should be able to get it, no?If it's going to be a big issue I'll find another, but this is no BS and was assuming you were picking it shortly otherwise why wouldn't I have just held up on my pick?

FWIW, sent PM to Oso re: Stadiumgate. At the least let's hold up on picking more stadiums. If Im forced to choose another, will do, but at least want to get something else that works.

Oops, didn't realize he didn't pick a stadium. If he wants Ebbets, I'll grab something else.

Not a huge deal to me. I was just going by the stated rules, which were to pick your stafium simultaneous with our 2nd round pick. Eephus had actually picked Shibe Park before i started on my post. But by the time i finished it, he had deleted that post. I'd prefer to keep Royals, but if not, i'll take Arlington Stadium.

I was checking every few min while watching the Ravens somehow win that game (go Ravens!) and was just waiting for him to pick one is all, otherwise I wouldn't make a big deal. The Karma comment really hurt my feelings though. Words can hurt, you know. Kinda feel bullied even.Seriously, if it's cool, I had planned to take Royals Stadium.ETA - In hindsight, I shoulda just held off on my pick to not cause confusion, so my apologies.GO RAVENS!

Has the baseball stadium pool shrunk? In the link at WIS there are a bunch of stadiums missing. Anyone have a link to the full stadium list? Looking for Bennett Park in Detroit.

Tons of confusion caused over here :DGuys, check out the stadium draft in the OP ... is that what you two decided on?

Works for me. Apologies again as I was just trying to help move things along. Boy, did I get wasted last night. Session beer, whiskey, cider. Oof.

Going to pats game :banned: Assuming it gets to me, I may or may not reply to texts, worst case I'll drunk pick tonight. No list, I had one together but it's been picked apart by recent picks. No list anti jinx in affect. :nerd:
