Just remembered that X is likely at the Knicks game, so probably looking at tomorrow AM, but who knows. He's a crazy mutha.

ETA: On the plus side, he got to see Acer's 3rd round pick in the B2TF Basketball league...Bismack Biyombo

No way this is a real person.
Don't you do sports radio, Costas?
Isn't he in North Dakota though? I assume it's all hockey, Ben Woodside, and Mike Miller.
No to sports radio and the sports scene in ND sucks royally outside of NDSU football.
And how long have you been there? A year?
Roughly.

Bismack Biyombo is the capitol of North Dakota
You mean East Dakota.

Oh Johnny Bench....

My hitters batting averages are .440, .383, .373, .372, .355, .349, .339, and .270.

One of these things is not like the other.

X texted me back late last night to skip him but as it's the am let's give him til 9:30. If he doesn't respond to my text I'll pick then as he might be having a late am

I was going to punt the Fed league, but this guy is sticking out there as definitely useable - might as well have another PH with a little pop and lots of doubles. Could be used at 1B in a double switch too. Finally looked at the end game roster, and having even one extra workable part could really help.

Steve Evans. Federal League

At least he's doing better than my second round pick...Larry Sanders. :wall:

Anyone mind posting the 15th round from the GoogleSheet? TIA

Koya - Steve Evans - 1B - Federal

15.14 - Bobby Jenks, RP 2000s

Had planned on Soriano here, but Jenks is a decent substitute with his solid homer and walk rates...he just doesn't have that sick normalized .160 OAV.

Greco's guy WIlbur Wood is an example where the normalized OAV is worse than the actual. Opponents hit .222 against him in his best season, but 1971 is a poor offensive year; so his normalized OAV is .230.

I nnoticed that jfranco indicated upthread that batting average stats don't figure into his offensive ratings (when ranking teams for divisions). I wonder if OAV figures in any way into his pitching rankings?

I personally think it may be a mistake in teh all-timers to not look at offensive batting average. With all of these great pitchers having low walk rates I feel like the batting average holds up a little more. :twocents:

I generally tend to agree, though I've balanced out the approach at least over the last couple sims. I used to go all OAV for pitchers and even in tough times it held up well, but in this type of draft you need to protect against the long ball a bit more than a smaller player pool.
