OFFICIAL WIS XVIII THREAD: An Ode to Claude Hendrix (1 Viewer)

sp Joe Benz, 1910s

I'm going to be doing one of those tandem starter dealies for the first time ever. I'm excited and scared like Jessie Spano.

Toby Harrah - 1975 - the whole freakin Infield

Homer pick, but I have adequate backup at 3B, SS, and 2B with a little bit of pop.

I nnoticed that jfranco indicated upthread that batting average stats don't figure into his offensive ratings (when ranking teams for divisions). I wonder if OAV figures in any way into his pitching rankings?
I personally think it may be a mistake in teh all-timers to not look at offensive batting average. With all of these great pitchers having low walk rates I feel like the batting average holds up a little more. :twocents:
I think so too, but my formula is based on runs created, which doesn't use it.

I've been trying to figure out a way to modify the formula to give a bonus for AVG. I'm just not sure if I want to do it or not.

MrP takes

Hubie Brooks, SS 80s
A Koya Special!
Some strategery here. I may be a bit short at 1B, 2B, and SS and I figure Brooks can fill in when needed on all three. (Yes, I know he's not a fielding savant) Plus, he'll be a good pinch hitter and he may have been the only SS left that can actually hit the ball out of the infield, so yeah, I was being #### block. :gang1:

With the caveat that it's been a few picks since I updated... 23rd.
Do me do me!
Me too! Me too!
Just post the whole franckings list so everyone can see how bad my team is...
Will do shortly. Kraft just took a guy who is a top 60 pitcher so he should do well.

Relievers are proving to be difficult with the decades I admit. So many loaded into the last 20 years.
I have two RPs 2000s and one out ofthe 80s (plus Shantz from the 50s) ... still feel like I'm hurtin'.

This was not a good draft to be on the turn, IMHO. Runs being and end, and new plateaus readily get reached in the span of 48 picks :kicksrock:

Will trade you my entire bullpen (Wagner, Fingers, Jarvis) and Yaz for Ruth and your 23, 24, 25. Think about it...
