OFFICIAL WIS XVIII THREAD: An Ode to Claude Hendrix (2 Viewers)

Starting to feel like anyone can flop in these though.

Edit: I even had Ruth/Gehrig one season and they took most of the year off. That hurt.

Maybe Mr P and Koya can team up for a blog on who they had on their short lists, and who is the SOD. I'm sure someone would read it.

One thing to consider is that, every so often, there are subtle tweaks made to WIS's baseball simulation engine. Sometimes even more than subtle tweaks (esp. fatigue and defense). So guys that may have disappointed five years ago might be able to perform better today.

And vice versa.

I'm done with the 1940s BTW

ETA: I have no idea what I'm doing.

I will say that the guy I was going to draft was not in the desired year group. Had his named typed in then looked at other decade options, and passed. So the year groups have definitely been a consideration in the past two rounds for me.

I'm here with a list of 3 to choose from. Trying to figure out which guy will get me laughed at the least.

As soon as Greco picks I should be ready.

i will take a guy that always seem to do well in these:

John Tudor Garage 1980s

he had that amazing 1985 and i watched him kill the mets, but something i didn't know about that year; he started 1-7 with a 3.74 thru the first 2 months, from june 1 on it appears he went 20-1 with a 1.37.

That's decent.

Had another just a bit above, but decade scarcity (and/or non scarcity in the other year) has me taking a bit of a chance here as the other year just has tons of not quite as good but still good pitching talent for later:
