Thank God I was busy at work and couldn't watch what is being described here. My blood pressure is still elevated from Valverde's save on Tuesday night.

Awful. Berry's run is over, he needs to be sent back to Toledo. Why Baker didn't hit for Santiago, no one will ever know.
Berry just slaps at the ball now and has zero power. There is a reason 4 teams gave him his outright release. Plus now he looks like he has lost the early confidence he had. With things getting toward the end I really do not want to see him in the lineup anymore. Probably why we picked up Baker.I was really hoping that Leyland would have kept Dotel in the game. Dotel never gives in and battles. When Benoit came in yesterday he looked like something bad was going to happen..not sure if he is 100% right now.

Big choke by Tigers but any Yankee fan getting puffed up is fooling themselves.
You have intelligent posts in other threads. You can't be this dense.We are laughing because your resident nitwit was dancing all over the Yankees' graves during and after the first two games.Certainly you can piece it all together.

:goodposting: i wasnt puffing my chest. this peace guy is a moron. thats all. of course he knows all about the ramrod.

Neither Avila nor Max knows where the pitches are going tonight. Some wildness in Max is a good thing but when Avila is completely fooled by three straight pitch locations, that's a problem.

Sooooooooooooooo....Leyland sent in the safety squeeze sign in with one strike to Santiago, and Lamont missed it. Jesus ####### Christ. :wall: Now people know why I sometimes say this team is hard to like, that is ridiculous.

Yet another reason.

BTW

For you kids watching at home, this is why letting the ball drop in front of you and holding him to a long single is the right thing to do. Only be a hero if the CF is behind you.

Peace

8:05pm Tigers (J. Verlander - R) @ Rangers (D. Holland - L)

1. Austin Jackson ® CF

2. Omar Infante ® 2B

3. Miguel Cabrera ® 3B

4. Prince Fielder (L) 1B

5. Delmon Young ® DH

6. Jeff Baker ® RF

7. Jhonny Peralta ® SS

8. Andy Dirks (L) LF

9. Gerald Laird ® C

1. Ian Kinsler ® DH

2. Elvis Andrus ® SS

3. Josh Hamilton (L) CF

4. Adrian Beltre ® 3B

5. Nelson Cruz ® RF

6. Michael Young ® 2B

7. David Murphy (L) LF

8. Geovany Soto ® C

9. Mitch Moreland (L) 1B

After 100 pitches batters are hitting .124 vs Verlander this year, 10-81.

I think everyone was surprised how many hooks he threw tonight, I think he could have throw 150 pitches.

3 ER in 28 career innings at the ballpark at Arlington.

No way they win this game now, Ogando will keep going out there and we'll keep swinging and missing.

Big choke by Boesch. Lamont probably should have sent Cabrera also since Cruz had to go to his backhand for that slow moving ball. But of course he didn't.

On the road Lamont had to try and get that run.

Cabrera single

Prince BB

Boesch swings at 1st pitch and grounds softly into a FC

Delmon swings at first pitch, GIDP

The Porcello and Boesch gaffs in the 3rd give the Rangers two runs, what a dumb ####### team. No other way to describe them, just dumb.

Should have won last night, four straight road series lost and counting.

Boesch...

Perfect example of not protecting Prince.

I still think

Jackson

Berry

Miggy

Prince

Dirks

is the best top 5 we can trot out there.

Peace

Berry, much like Boesch, can't hit the ball out of the infield. They need to put Baker in there more to see what he can do, this line-up has some HUGE black holes.

Prediction: Avila gets hot soon and it lasts for the rest of the season

Also Infante is hitting over .300 now since coming over. I like him, great pick up and he really helps the infield defense with his terrific range.

The White Sox are almost a mirror image of the Tigers, the division and head to head games will be the difference. They go stretches without hitting, have one ace (Sale) and one other stud (Peavy) and they play well at home. Tigers have more hitting (OPS) but the White Sox have more power and the teams score about the same number of runs. The difference between the pitching staffs as far as earned runs was one run coming into today, starter/reliever splits almost identical. White Sox field better and run better on the bases.

I don't care to talk about any wildcard stuff right now, they need to win the division. I will say that despite my absolute hate for the White Sox, I hope they get the wildcard. How epic would a Tigers/White Sux ALCS be?

Last 4 series of the year.....

CHW

@LAA

CLE

TB

@CLE

DET

MIM

KC

@MIN

@KC

Fearless Prediction:

Keep within 2 up until the home stretch and the worst case scenario is game 163

What do you think the odds are the Tigers make post-season play? Can`t be any better than 50-50 at this point. WhiteSox are not going anywhere.

The number of pissed away games this year seems very high compared to last season.

The Tigers are still scary.I'm really surprised the hot mess that is Yu got a quality start and the laughable, unimpressive Holland was able to shut down this amazing offense.

I still have nightmares from '06 when they fell apart vs. KC and failed to win the division. Yes, they still got a WC but if it comes down to @KC I am still going to be as nervous as watching a Valverde save attempt. I still like the Tigers' finishing schedule than Chicago's though. As Doctor D said, the head to head games are going to be the deciding factor here, the 4 game series in Chicago is going to be crazy. I am contemplating going to that one...
