Oil Change Blues (1 Viewer)

I had a feeling the actual oil change would get the attention. The thing was a kid being turned on to something new to him, which is pretty cool.

I can see it now in 4000 miles.

kid....hey man, hey I did Google prewar war, love that stuff, all that Robert Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Charley Patton, Bessie Smith, Leroy Carr stuff is great.  My friends loving it also. So who is your favorite?

Zeno....that can't be done, simply to much diversity in that music.  We have piano blues, harmonica, the jug bands,  the guitar players, then there are the regions which is huge in them old blues.  Have you checked out Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy yet?

kid....let me grab a pencil,  ok so....Memphis Minnie and Kansas Joe McCoy, got it.  Hey thanks man.

Zeno....no problem my friend.
this shtick sounds mighty familiar ...

They always show me the dipstick when they first pull it to show the existing oil level and quality and then at the end to verify they filled it with clean oil. I've never had any other experience.
Yeah, I guess it makes a lot more sense when you're right there in the car rather than in the waiting room.

If you guys live in a cold climate do not let them top off your windshield washer fluid between april and september.

Do not let them top off your antifreeze either.

I'm a DIY guy so recently changed the oil on the family truckster, Honda Odyssey. (Full synthetic, btw. None of that cheap dino ####.) Never again.

Some idiot engineer decided to put the filter right above one of the frame rails so it's a PITA to reach and impossible to change the filter without oil running halfway down the length of the undercarriage. My Wrangler spoiled me with its ground clearance and ease of access.

I assumed it was the oil change otherwise if it was just about listening to blues music and sharing blues music, you would have put it in your blues music thread.
The story was some kid discovering something totally new to him.  Which would pretty much be the case with kids today hearing those old blues for the first time. That music so different than they have heard.

I get free oil changes for the life of my vehicle at the dealership.  "FREE"  the dealership always tries to upsell services and has a nice snack bar with over priced items.  Also they take forever.  Over an hour at times waiting so I am forced to sit around watching CNN or sports center with other commoners waiting on their vehicles.
