pearl jam would be all about playing with the who and neil youngThat does sound great. Im wondering if they will add other bands to play before hand. Neil has ties with a lot of the Seattle guys. Would love to see Pearl jam before the Stones
Let me rephraseyou would rather see perl jam before the stones cripes do you kiss your mother with that mouth take it back and when you are taking it back take that to the bank brohans

Yeah, Promise of the Real are a very good backing band for him. I came away impressed when I saw them last year - that night they played 3 hours, with the third hour being all The Monsanto YearsBig mistake having Neil before Paul - he'll blow the doors off the place and Paul will sound really really old.
Just saw Neil at Jazzfest and he played 8 songs in 2 hours - including a 20 min Cortez and a 30 minute Love and Only Love that was awash in sonic feedback between him and Willie's kids for a good 15 minutes of that. It was damn good. As usual those who don't know how Neil operates came away disappointed - the ones looking for his 'hits" whereas I think he played his "hits" - effin up, Cortez, Country Home,Love and Only Love, Powderfinger, Rockin in the Free World - are all hits as well - they are just the louder ones. And his Rocking in the Free World was so much better than Pearl Jams the week before - about 10 times louder and ballsier. He's still amazing when he gets it rolling.
Doesn't sound right. If GA I would consider going despite the cost.I read primarily seated seats, which seems very strange for a festival but very appropriate for the target audience here..
That's 3 day pass general admission. That's much cheaper than I thought it would be.is it not $400 for the entire weekend?
Ya, $400 for all three days. I don't think the tickets are too outrageous, but I'm sure the general admission will be a million miles from the stage. I went from in to pass in about 5 minutes.is it not $400 for the entire weekend?
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/stones-mccartney-dylan-the-who-waters-young-confirm-mega-fest-20160503Three-day passes run from $399 to $1,599. Single-day tickets will go for $199. Tickets will go on sale Monday, May 9th at 10 am PST at the festival's website.
Yeah, maybe it was primarily "reserved tickets" which I misinterpreted but like I said, is still un-festival-like but very appropriate for this target audience.Doesn't sound right. If GA I would consider going despite the cost.
ok got it you had me worried there for einen minuten brostein but just like a bad guy in a star wars movie you redeemed yourself vader style take that to the dagobank systemLet me rephrase
Would love to see pearl jam play before the stones that night
That looks ####### terrible....Here's the map.
The cheap tickets will suck (a mile back from the stage). Minimum of $699 for reserved seats.
I am going to have to respectfully disagree. After seeing Sir Paul last spring at Firefly Festival, and seeing Neil at ACL a few years ago, I think Paul will hold his own closing out the night. Paul played for 3 straight hours, his band is beyond amazing and his voice was really really solid. The jokes are Dad-level corny, but it was perhaps the best show I have ever seen live. 33 songs in his set, almost everyone a classic.Big mistake having Neil before Paul - he'll blow the doors off the place and Paul will sound really really old.
When's the GnR show you're going to again?Sounds like three days worth of "man these guys used to be so good."
Exactly. Now imagine that the guys in this show are about twenty years older than GnR....When's the GnR show you're going to again?
McCartney is a pretty good live show. Never seen Neil Young so not sure how they stack up, but I'd be surprised if McCartney looked out of his league. He's still got it.I am going to have to respectfully disagree. That's in the premium seating and staying in a hotel. That's not how you do this kind of thing$1600 for tickets... $500 for lodging.
Pass.
