You only get one kind of fry forever but you can eat as many as you want and never get fat.   What kind do you choose?

Shoe string. I like them crispier than most. The only food McDonald's does right, IMO

I mainly eat homemade because they're healthier.  But if weight is taken out of the combination I think waffle is the way to go.  Plus I can get chick fil-a fries sometimes.

bromigo this is some ninja jedi path of the brohan mind altering question right here i mean jeez come on man that is not fair but i guess the answer is smothered fries because you could smother them with a lot of differnt stuff that my friends is variety which is the spice up life say one day you are feelin a little cheesy bam you got you some cheese fries another day you are feeling a spicy amigo bam hombre you got you some chilly fries another day you are like man what i want is some bacon and onions on those suckers well there you are you take that bus cause she will get you there so bam another riddle solved by the old swcer take that to the bank brosmothoros

Hand cut or homemade are the shark moves--leaves the door open for them to be cut thin, thick, steak fry, sweet potato, etc.

Tots, baked potatoes, twice baked potatoes,  hash browns,  homefries, potato pancakes,  potato rolls, and other potato or non potato foods are not considered fries for the purpose of this pool.  Try to stay focused.

Steak and waffle are probably my favorite but they also can get screwed up easier. I'd just take the standard fast food fry. If I'm stuck with one of anything for the rest of my life I'll go high floor/low ceiling over low floor/high ceiling.

The "wedge" fries, like I think what KFC makes.  Not saying KFC has the fry to beat, but I like that style of fry.

Poll stipulates homemade must be made by you every time. Which means you're never eating fries at a bar/restaurant/FF drive thru ever again.

Then wtf the chicken on the list?

Not for "hand cut" -- just means eating at home or going to places that cut their own. Even for homemade, I can live with the restriction to get the variety.

Oh, and I want thick, hand-cut, seasoned, steak fries that are smothered and made at home.  Which circle do I click?

*blows out* I think smothered waffle fries is the answer.  now I know there has been issue taken with people trying to combine multiple fry types, but I think this is more within the spirit of the question, as there is no specification of which TYPE of fry we're smothering, so it leaves open to interpretation (unless, of course, the fry type to be smothered is randomized on any given day, which is a game changer and makes smothered the ONLY choice imo)

my only hesitation is that the smothering would ruin the enjoyment of the fry for the sake of the fry.  surely there would be days when you only want a nice, dry, crisp, salted fry.  but my thinking is, in every batch of smothered fries, there are always a few stragglers that end up being pretty dry.  now, layering in the assumption that we get unlimited fries each day, it would stand to reason that we could ask for multiple batches of smothered fries until we had found enough dry fries for satiety.  but i digress.

also, my smothering would be skyline chili, bacon bits (made from real, freshly cooked bacon), cheddar cheese, and a little buffalo ranch.

you guys can keep discussing but I'm pretty sure this is right.

I'm SHOCKED Steak Fries are winning.  Those are the worst fries.  They're not even fries...they're potato pieces.

Seasoned, Hand-Cut, Curly - can't go wrong with either of those 3.

McDonald's fries.

Curly cajun fries in at #2.
Second on the McDonalds's fries...  Those damn things are like crack cocaine..
McD fries (like all) are best super hot, fresh out of the fryer.

Mr Hero Waffer fries with vinegar and a side of cheese sauce

Similar in nature to these are the Chick-fil-A fries. They too are like crack!

I worked at McDonald's for a year as a kid.  Even after cooking all damn day, I would still tear those fries up.

One of the best foods man has ever manufactured.

Good call those are money. But even though it has fry in the name is is really a fry? It's more of a puff.
Not at all, it's not even made from potatoes to the best of my knowledge.  But, they're in the poll so I voted.  I frankly could give a rat's ### about fries, I typically don't eat them.

Yeah I don't get it either.  Too meaty for me.

Give me waffle fries (Chick Fil A).
