One thing I'll be glad to be done with after this week... (1 Viewer)

"TO..."

"TO said about McNabb..."

"TO and McNabb...."

"After TO left Philly...."

"TO scratched his butt today..."

All TO, all the time. It's sickening. I've felt that the media is forcing this stuff on the public to the point where people get tired of hearing about it. When they are starting pre-game shows, post-game shows, etc. about TO-this and TO-that... when they literally are in the middle of a game today (was either the TB/NO game or the NE/Mia game, can't remember which), and cut to talk about TO and show live shots of him WARMING UP before the game, and then point out that he missed a friggin' pass in PRE-GAME WARMUPS, and the fans' reaction to it... I mean COME ON... enough is enough. And of course, throughout the Philly/Dallas game, they are constantly going back to TO... oh wow, he sits on the bench like everyone else! OMG! Oh gee, another TO tantrum. Whoopty dooooooo!

And the most ridiculous thing I heard all week -- the Philly/Dallas game is the "Game of the Year!!"

Am I alone in thinking that it's just being force fed to us? Am I alone in that I'm sick and tired of hearing about TO? Can we PLEASE move on to bigger and better stories?

I hate T.O. and his hype as much as the next guy, but that was a great game to watch.
No doubt. And it sounded like TO had a very classy presser afterward, too, which is good to see.

Also... Joe Buck makes me want to puke.
:goodposting: When Bledsoe made that horrible pass on the stop and go route where TO was wide open, Buck was looking for every way possible to blame it on Owens and never once made mention of the TERRIBLE pass.

The truth is that the media is constantly trying to make TO into a bad guy...as we all know, he doesn't need any help.

If you watched the NFL Network after the end of the game, they aired TO's press conference in it's entirety. The NFL Network announcer went off about the way that TO was being asked 'leading questions.' The press just kept asking him to assign fault/blame...

...we all know that most of the blame can be placed on Bledsoe and don't need TO to say it to validate that fact. Now that the TO-McNabb circus is over (until next game), the press was overtly trying to start the next "TO frenzy" by asking him to blame Bledsoe for everything that went wrong with the game.

The press are ridiculous when it comes to TO, IMO.

:goodposting: The two above, too. Very well put.

Don't get me wrong, it was definitely a great game to watch. It went down to the wire. If Bledsoe hadn't made that dumb throw at the end that Sheppard ran back for a TD, we may have had a game going into OT.

Did you ever get the feeling that you just aren't really helping the situation?
I'm not a part of the media. I don't have my hand in what goes on TV, where millions of people will watch. I'm just some Schmoe out there, who's fed up with the whole thing, and tired of the media force feeding us with the same tired drama that's been going on for years now...

Now that Reggie Bush has scored a TD, his hype machine is going to be off the charts.

I would garner that there were at least 20 commercials about TO/McNabb during the Saints game today.

I'm just glad most sensible people realize most of the TO crap is generated from the media. I'm no TO fan, but I call it like it is.As a Bills fan I have always hated Aikman as a player, but I've liked his color work. Tonight made me sick though. I expect this out of that idiot Buck, but even Aikman was piling on TO. We'd see a vocal TO on the sideline, and they were piling on about how he was complaining, etc. How do we know he wasn't uttering words of encouragement, trying to pump up his mates? I've seen that, with audio, from TO plenty, but it usually gets swept under the rug, while the TV media folk search for controversial content to air.Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that the media are scum, Joe Buck is swill, and Aikman should be ashamed of himself for his performance tonight. TO is really improving on his "public speaking", but the media won't let TO mature.

Great topic. I agree 100%. Now that this is over we can get back to discussing more important issues like when will the other teams just give in and not show up for their games against the Bears?

What I thought was ridiculous was they kept pointing to TO as the key to the game. FBG had TO projected as the sixth WR this week, or somewhere very high. TO isn't even the best WR on his team. Glenn is better. They insisted on forcing the ball to TO in the second half. And of course, if you saw the game you saw TO screaming at people on the sideline. IF TO was screaming at teammates, or his WR coach, I find it very hard to imagiine that Parcells will put up with that for long. You just want to say,"Shut up and do something!"

This is exactly what the other poster was talking about yeah TO was yelling but when does he not yell. And if you watched the clips long enough you saw that after the yelling he was slapping 5's and pumping up his teammates but believe what you want to believe though. I mean it's TO for god sake lets just pile on him.
