If I remember right the FBG staff has done some great work researching the variance of, say, starting a QB and WR from the same team or a RB and WR from the same team, etc.
My question is: has anyone studied using opposing starting RBs? It seems like this has the potential to reduce your variance. One of the biggest factors in RB production can be if their team is leading or trailing. A team down 30 is not generating points for their RB, but their opponent almost surely is. It seems like a potential way to ensure one or the other of your RBs is producing, but maybe most games are close enough that it's not a major factor.
