OT: Best Site for FF (1 Viewer)

Just curious, but which site gets your vote for the best to host a FF league? I currently use Yahoo w/ a bunch of friends, but am thinking ahead to next year. I figured I'd poll the plethora of FF diehards on the board to see which site is the best (free or pay). Thanks!

I like CBS Sportsline. A lot of people here will plug MFL as well but I haven't used it.

We use fanball.com, it seems to be very stable, gives a ton of options, and for us, we use BBid for FA moves, which it handles very well. On top of that, it is cheaper than CBS which I had used in the past.

Just my 2 cents..

MFL by far for me. 14 of my 15 money leagues and expert leagues are all ran off MFL.

CBS sportline I gave up on years ago. They had some major problems back in the days.

MFL offers flexibillity like no others out there!

One thing with Sportsline is they've had availability issues in the past, but this year they've been reliable except for a hiccup early on.

Would like to try MFL, but not sure I can sell it to the rest of the league. I know this is a minor issue but Sportsline tracks are leagues history & records which I assume would be gone if started over in MFL.

MFL hands down. My league didn't want to go online as everyone was happy with the commish doing hand calculations and mailing out a handwritten flier every week. I checked out dozens of league hosting sites and time after time they all fell short of MFL. The only knock on MFL is that it's a little bit canned looking but it can be easily customized if you want to spend the time. Otherwise the flexibility, stats, and ease of use is first class. Every year I get kudos because everyone loves the site.

Same here. I am not sure which site is the best as I've been with Sportsline for years. The league's history and all of our league's records would be hard to leave for price alone.

I've been a CBS customer for years now, but am moving one of my 3 hosted there over to MFL next year to try it out.** Cheaper** Customizable ( I'm a developer, so that's probably bigger for me ).** No Ads ( $130/year and I still get this is ridiculous )

MFL tracks history to a certain level, but there's an add-on side ( mflhistory.com, I believe ) that is a minimal charge ( still less than CBS overall ). This site apparently DOES allow you to grab your CBS history and import it into the new league. I have no experience so I can't say how well it works.

I'm in 5 different site locations.

My ranks:

1. MFL

2. Yahoo

3. Pencil and paper

4. CBS/RTSports

5. Quit fantasy football forever

6. ESPN

I personally like MFL the best and I have used most (like I said in my thread in sig).

HOWEVER, I urge anyone who has used sportsline for years to think about a switch to MFL. There were many owners in my league who were very upset with the switch and one who has gone far enough to say that he may leave the league if we come back to MFL.

I think the major thing is that there is no nice cookie cutter news stories and add/drop stories in MFL. For people who dont live Fantasy Football, this cuts there life support (even though I linked all of the CBS stories to our site- didnt matter)

So just be aware that there may be some that just are resistent to change.

New to the whole internet thing?

That's impressive. That search page looks just like the search page I was on 5 minutes before I started this thread. Of couse, just like that search page, yours didn't return a single quality hit for "best FF", "best fantasy", "best fantasy football" or "FF site". But, who am I to argue w/ the wisdom of a Devry graduate!

;) And  for taking the time to not only make the useless mean comment, but to actually put in a link to the search page... without taking a single second to help a guy out. Stay classy and helpful Shark Pool.MyFantasyLeague. First year after CBS. No problems. High customization. Great customer service.

Fanball has been much more reliable this season. In the past few years the site would crash at the opening kickoff and the live scoring would stall at least once during the first couple weeks of the season.

Our league stuck with it because we had bought a three year contract. This year the performance has been great.

Add to that the extensive league history that the site keeps and I don't think our league will be shifting sites any time soon.

For the cheap price, Fanball has finally become a solid alternative.
