Out of playoffs - OK to play WW? (1 Viewer)

Redraft = no

Dynasty = no

When your season is over get out of the way.  That's how we do it.  It's a courtesy to the remaining teams.   Understood this is a minority opinion but I think it works best.  People may claim they lose a chance to build their team but they do have 50 weeks of that opportunity every year.

ETA: We wouldn't restrict player acquisition on mathematical elimination - but we do when your season is officially over.
Bad idea for dynasty leagues

It is absolutely okay to do it, as long as the season is still going (not the playoffs), and owners who tank once eliminated suck.  It gives free wins to teams lucky enough to draw them on the schedule late in the season, and that is unfair.  I have a couple online leagues still going where I am mathematically eliminated, but am still making moves this week to try to win, including on the WW.  Why?  Because a) it is a matter of pride, as I like finishing with as good a record as possible, and b) to make sure no one is getting a free win against me.
